The fourth of Art Departments Natural Selection remix packages is set to drop in August with the arrival of Crazy. This time, those chosen to add their own unique spin on the huge and still popular original are none other than Jamie Jones and Dennis Ferrer. First up is Jamie Jones, the king of his own much loved musical empire in the form of Hot Creations. As well as being an award winning DJ and producer, he also performs live with Hot Natured and runs his own key night at DC10 in the form of Paradise. Here the Welshman lays down one of his fat trademark basslines and injects trippy, colourful melodies. Classic sounding, airy hi hats and subtly worked vocal patches add plenty of heat and drama to the groove, and a sci-fi breakdown is sure to send the dance floor wild, especially once Jones drums kick once more. On the flipside US musical heavyweight Dennis Ferrer takes the reigns as he delivers his own take on Crazy. The New York based DJ, producer and label owner has truly left his mark on the dance music landscape over the last two decades with his Objektivity imprint kick starting the career of the Martinez Brothers and his own records helping to define house music. Here his remix is an expertly stripped back, shuffling house number that goes deep. Synths spiral around, the bass comes on from way down below and Ferrers treatment of the vocals adds an air of mystery that is genuinely hypnotising

Fresko is a Lisbon-based DJ and producer who has published his original music under Golden Mist, OBSCUUR, HAYES, Proclectic Records and ELBEREC.
His artistic path has been developing majorly as a producer in the last few years. He was part of Warface collective, a collective based on Uk underground bass music and techno alongside Vil and many others.
Recently he released his first LP “Is It” on Hayes Collective and now more than ever is receiving some attention from many artists.
This podcast has tunes by artists such as Vil, Oscar Mulero, Temudo, Vince, Jonas Kopp, Sathurnus, Alexander Johansson, Nørbak and some of his own works. This one hour set has this particular notion of development from the slowest 106 bpm Pedante to 140 bpm, combining distinct flavours and many contrasts between this constant groove and motion during the entire set.

Not every artist could boast with a gig at the legendary Love Parade in Berlin and Steve Sai is one of them. Born in Greece, but currently based in the German capital, he performed at one of the best venues in Greece and around the world alongside Stacey Pullen, Marco Faraone, Charlotte de Witte and many more. Steve is also working on his other techno project Hudd. He has big love for Bulgaria after his gig in Plazma Club in Plovdiv - one of the reasons for him to accept our invitation to be part of MINDCAST.

2.5 Hour set I played at some rave last weekend. 

It was magical. Such beautiful people; giving it their absolute all dancing holes into the decayed rugged carpet of an old derelict building until way beyond the dawn of day. 

Thanks all for dancing with me well into the morning glory. You were fantastic!

I hope this recording catches some of the shine of this amazing night and I hope to see you all soon dancing the night away, either in clubs or on the down and out; being happy and forgetting for a brief moment about the total lack of understanding and absolute disregard for the way of life we hold dear.
