After a brief hiatus, our Red Moon Sessions are back! Who better to come back with than our homie Lowtep! 

A psy and DnB lover from an early age, Lowtep, like most aussies who revel in the untz, found his love for all things tekkers during an early morning heave to a banging Paul Abad set at Rainbow Serpent’s infamous Market stage in 2012. Since then, Lowtep has dived head first into the sound, creating mixes full of melodic breakdowns, bushy and chuggy basslines all paired with a mixture of dark, ethereal and emotional tones.

Although he has only been on the DJ circuit for a short period of time he has played for some of our favourite local crews including Capture and The Temple of Boom while playing to dance floors at My Aeon, Revolver Upstairs and New Gurnica. 

Not only creative musically, Lowtep has grown to become a highly respected local artist who constantly leaves us in awe of his work! His art has featured in the galleries of Strawberry Fields, Elysium Gathering, Celestial gathering and Forthedecade. 

His love for our scene is forever present and remains committed to giving back to a scene that has given him so much. While his love for music remains strong, he will keep on mixing on!

His 1 hour mix for us is an ode to all the musical influences that have helped shape his sound over the years. It’s a high energy journey from bush techno through to acid techno 
with an eclectic range of sounds intertwined throughout.

Théophile BB, c’est la rencontre entre l’homme qui se cache derrière ce nom de scène et un morceau, « Jesus love the acid ». 

Depuis le lycée et après l’écoute de cette chanson, il s’est mis au mix, ce qui l’a poussé vers Paris une fois son bac obtenu. 
DJ résident au club « Le Quai de Bourbon », très vite il fait vibrer les sols parisiens par l’énergie qu’il envoie dans les corps du public. 

Inspiré par la scène parisienne des années 2010, ainsi que la new beat (Franck De Wulf), l’EBM (D.A.F.) et l’electroclash (The Hacker), ses mixes sont ceux de quelqu’un qui souhaite ouvrir la techno à tous les corps. 

Conscient de sa force, il souhaite moderniser un style qu’il trouve parfois un peu trop rigide en mélangeant les genres.

Slipcode is a Hard Dance, Trance, Techno and House DJ from the UK. Having started off listening to Hip-Hop and Electro whilst at school, slipcode was introduced to electronic sampled music in the late 80's with groups such as Kraftwerk and The Art of Noise being prominent in his playlist.
Being hooked on loops, beats and samples, it was inevitable that slipcode would make his way through the 80's synth beats and into Acid House and dived head first into the 90's Rave scene. Attending infamous events such as Dreamscape, Fantasia, World Dance and Raindance, slipcode was addicted to the thumping bass from huge sound systems along with the never ending energy the DJ's and music provided. Slipcode is old skool through and through with the medals to prove it.
Late 90's and 2000's bought Hard House and Trance to slipcode's attention. Borrowing heavily from the earlier rave scene slipcode immediately felt at home, and his true love of multiple genres was realised.
