PWCCA is no stranger to Devotion Records as he is one of the most prolific artists of the Barcelona-based label, gifting us unexceptionally quality techno. With the bar being set very high, PWCCA is unable to disappoint on his new offering titled Hominization EP which features four awe-inspiring original productions accompanied by a stirring remix by promising newcomer Endplate. 

Here we premiere the second track of PWCCA's new EP entitled "Hominids." The EP has early support from Abstract Division, Adriana Lopez, Ancient Methods, Ben Sims, Drumcell, Exium, Patrick DSP, Slam, Vegim, and more. PWCCA could not represent the Devotion Records motto "Devoted to Techno" any better.

PWCCA is a techno DJ & producer based in Spain who runs the Hardtools label.

This (self)release is inspired by George Orwell’s dystopian novel “1984”. Written about 75 years ago, it somehow anticipated many of the absurd realities we are facing in the present.

The book focuses on the impact of totalitarianism, mass surveillance, and the strict control of individuals and their behaviour within society. It also explores the use of indoctrination, specifically through a concept called “doublethink”, where individuals are required to accept two contradictory beliefs as true, even when these beliefs contradict their own memories or perception of reality.

“IGNORANCE IS STRENGTH”

In 1984, these slogans belong to “The Party”, a political organisation that preserves its power through constant surveillance, manipulation of reality, control of information, and the suppression of independent thought.

I encourage to read the novel, think about what’s depicted in its pages and how it compares to the modern times.

Welcome to the 23rd edition of the Apparition Show on Radio Techno Norway! We are really happy to have techno duo Stephanie Noordermeeer and Erik Pijl from the Netherlands with us, for a back to back session of pure energetic techno!

Stephanie and Eric plays their favourite techno for the first hour of the show, and Oyhopper will finish it off, to make it two full hours of quality techno!

Erik Pijl is a DJ / Producer from The Netherlands. His interest in electronic music arose in the breakbeat scene of Amsterdam in the late nineties.

Stephanie Noordermeer also born in The Netherlands has been a fan of techno since 2010 and a DJ since 2018 and later also a producer. The music that most appeals to her and that she uses in her mixes is especially full of good bass and vocals. She got this inspiration to often go to Rotterdam techno clubs and big electronic festivals.

Erik and Stephanie also got to know each other in the nightlife and they have been inspiring each other ever since. A few years later with several releases on Syntax Error UK, Hijacked Records Detroit, Momb Records Berlin, Iovem Records Italy and Trip Records Italty. Tracks are supported by Ben Sims, Boxia and S-File, PET Duo, among others. Recently an EP was released on Hijacked Records Detroit called The Great Noise and in December / January there will be a vinyl release on Syntax Error of which the test pressing has already been received.

Toni Alvarez is the new techno ambassador in Galicia.
He started as a DJ an Producer when he was only 5 years old, reading music and studying piano and guitar.
After his First encounter with electronic music in 2003, he has travelled all around Spain and other European countries.
His performances have been a complete success in the main national festivals such as: Code, Freelive, and Row, where he has been part of in several occasions. At present, he is playing in the most important European Halls, where he is very well regarded.
He started playing in the famous Spigon club, apart from the Opera in Mos and Breogain, the most well- known clubs in Vigo where he started to keep an eye on many other artists.
He shared the screen with great artists, either national and international such as: Maceo Plex, Chris Liebing, Umek, Loco Dice, Dj Hell, Kenny Larkin, John Digweed, Joseph Capriaty, MatthiasTanzmann, Dave Clarke, Paco Osuna, Dylan Drazen, Cristian Varela, Marco Bailey,JamesRuskin, Gayle San, Oscar Mulero etc.
His style combines techno with a touch of groovy and funky in a funny way. Influenced by artists such as Ben Sims, Cristian Varela, Technasia, Dave Clarke, Jeff Mills o Carl Cox, he develops a thrilling techique and musical versatility, with different tricks, schratches and efx, using four tracks at the same time.
He has edited more tan 50 jobs for record companies around the world, for example GT Muzike, which he owns, Jekos, Recovery, Patentskillz, Zinc, Evolution, Invaders, Patterns, Monkey Records, Sexy grooves, Mekatronik, etc.
He is now responsible of the Off Beat Productions programme and Shock Events,
which are mainly promoting techno events in the Iberian Peninsula.
Being a promising figure in the electronic world, it is clear that he won`t stop surprising the musical world.
