Starting at a young age Dtekt recorded on cassettes, loving the technical side of music. At the age of 16 he got his first technics 1200mk2s wanting to learn turntablism and it was not long he entered a dj group called DynomiteSoul to tour around Belgium with classic hiphop sets. After the group split he took on the route to produce tracks and started getting interested in dance music. He taught his friend Dj Kinky how to dj and after they made a dj group called Kinky&Dtekt. This gave a lot of other inspiration as I was more into strong rhythmic beats and kinky more abstract groovy tracks making fresh and exciting dj sets. Due to kinky moving for his studies Dtekt was again doing solo projects but wasn’t sure about which style to proceed with, till one day he met Jaymng and started producing beats. Getting out of his comfort zone from old school to new school to slow hiphop. Now he producing for multiple artist and is the main Dj for Jaymng.
