This playlist contains all the tracks made for/used in the 2019 version of DashingToadietale.
I'd give a relatively detailed list of the roles but... honestly I can't even tell what half of them are.

The contrast between the writing for this and the canon OUAT sequence is about as stark as the contrast between the tracks these yielded themselves. Makes sense! But that doesn't mean I won't act surprised. Since it's been a while since I've even touched the oldest script -- one that *I* wrote, believe it or not -- I 100% forgot what the old premise even was. Frankly I still don't! I'd sift through my DMs with Slick but I'm not even sure if I ever actually properly discussed this AU with him back in the day or if I just... kept it to myself for the most part.

While The Midnight Train Going Anywhere technically only has original motifs, the motif I ended up creating for the first section is definitely heavily inspired by this particular rendition of Around 2010.

Also that bit at the end was supposed to be way funnier if I just knew how to phrase it properly, since the point was like. "They're all you(/yourself), too".

While most other tracks in the canon OST have undergone some rather drastic changes, this one only really got a mixing overhaul between its initial release and the 2023 redux of the track.

I don't think I really knew what I was doing with Plumey back when I tried writing it, but uhh... Young James (or rather their semi-nameless predecessor, whose only name was their codename, "Froadie") basically went "lol yeah no I'm not doing this bye felicia" and quite literally just walked away.

Can't say I know why I went with the posh-ish piano vibe for them. 2019 was weird.

Yes, technically the motifs have had different names all along! But screw that 
Can't say "NEStyle - Castle" is exactly a catchy name one can easily remember.

In the old old script, Adult James was simply referred by as James. Despite this, the dialogue shorthand was T??? James, what the hell.

As for any particular differences between these incarnations of Adult James, uhhhh... I guess technically that version of Adult James was different in that they were... a relatively NEWLY Adult James! As this was written and released in 2019, I was still only 18.

Also dialogue I wrote at the time seems to imply that:
- The VOID, or whatever the main setting was going to be called here, was a place that Froadie already knew about
- Both Adult James and Froadie were consciously aware of their non-binary status (Adult James makes sense, at least, but I'm still unsure what age I had envisioned Froadie being)
- The two do share some kind of common knowledge, as Froadie was briefly confused as to how Adult James was able to deduce what may have lead Froadie to the point they were at before they realized, "oh right, you're me."

Ahhh, the origin of the "make yourself at home" joke.

Originally I had the track numbers listed, but since there's two version of DTT that had an actual planned OST list, with numbers that do not correlate with one another, I decided against it. However for some context, The Home replacement was track 6. You might be wondering: why the hell, Toadie, was the HOME replacement track 6?
Because I was actually genuinely awful at pacing back then. Literally the entirety of Part 1 was:
- Froadie arrives in Twover
- Froadie walks home, realizing it looks like their hometown
- Froadie meets Plumey, basically nopes out of that
- Froadie meets (Adult) James
- Froadie and James finish the trek home (which I was supposed to write in its entirety but guess who skipped that.)
- Froadie and James hang out at James' house.

Fun bonus trivia: The track's title is meant to be a play on The Good Place, which was -- and honestly still is -- a show that's really important to me.

Sidenote: I'm mad at myself that I didn't decide to use this as a motif for canon DTT's Home replacement.

So... fun fact! The original scenario for this scene WAS always the inverse of what it ended up being. Froadie's the one who plays the piano in this particular case.

Froadie's design also just so happens to basically be Toadie. So I'm like 99% sure Froadie is just. Toadie. In the Frisk Role. And That's It. Which is like. What.

Weird plotholes aside... this is a nice track.

This track was never before released under any circumstance!

There was always a plan to have three of my friends make some sort of appearance in DashingToadietale, although not quite in the way canon DTT handles it. Slick, [REDACTED] and DarwinMusiK were the original people intended to get these tracks, but unfortunately I never got beyond this part. They were originally also planned to be So Sorry together, sharing the Wrong Enemy !? replacement, but again, I never got that far, so it never got made.

This account is dedicated to archiving older uploads pertaining to DashingToadietale, such as tracks from the most recent scrapped version, but also tracks from much much earlier, back in the day where this... wasn't much of a proper AU and more of an excuse to make self-insert tracks.
