The duo from Guadalajara (Mexico) deliver their EP ‘Storm In A Teacup’, a tribute to acid humor & their fashion, cinema and rock idols/icons.
The release opens with ’Rebecca’, a track unsettling in all aspects, strings out of tune, naughty arpeggios delicately bouncing over psychedelic notes and the highlighted Koto dragging us to perceive the world music fibers. The hilarious and unveiling lyrics with monthly horoscope vibes is born from the main character on Fargo Devianti & Vongold's favorite film ‘Ghost World’.
‘Heather’ on the other hand, is an organic composition that drags us to feel under the influence of a Neopunk Pit on the club. Vongold on her behalf, delivers us some lyrics and vocals as an allegory to clubbing nights, to the banal trend of social media, pop icons viral news and peculiar quotes of 90's movies disguised with electrifying guitars, intriguing melodies and a catchy bass line rescued from the insides of Fargo Devianti elements that will definitely kick up dust on the dance floors.
To close up the EP, there are two remixes included: one of them by 'Trio
Misterio' (project by Azaria, Alvaro Cabana and Lebollet) in which they make a more hypnotic and trippy interpretation of Rebecca's own, while SCADTA's rework (Colombian artist Sergio Iglesias y German producer Tilman Benecke) offers a New Beat / EBM flavored version of the track “Heathers’.

Groove Your Body does exactly that right from the get go with an insane arp style bass line and some firecracker style percussion which drives this puppy into high overload. Big time wobbler for 3am style science.

Dragster picks up the baton for its predecessor and smacks you around the face with a Moroder style gauntlet. Full on mucky mutant disco tackle with a strung out vocal to match. For late night fun & frolics in basements & dark rooms all over the world.

When I realised that every word is just an extension of a previous that has met its end, it seemed inconceivable to me that anyone could ever reach a place where they felt content with language. That is to say language as an emotive driving force, language as a pendulum that swings between a predetermined pool of words, ones that morph in shape and sound but rarely in meaning. Naturally, this meant that every word also has its upper and lower limits, suspended like a tightrope between the factions of time. For example, the word ‘happy’ has a limited life span until it inevitably becomes ‘ecstatic’; ‘ecstatic’ only exists insofar until it transforms into ‘euphoric’. Imagine if we consistently reduced the ranges of these words until we only had a few to describe everything around us. Which would you choose?

Egyptian-Australian based producer and DJ Moktar is one of those artists for which language never suffices. Instead, his music requires spiritual and personal attention as you find yourself flooded with a wave of visceral emotion through the lens of leftfield techno and IDM. The same goes for his third musical offering, a self-titled EP coming via Mall Grab's Steel City Dance Discs.

Following his inaugural single 'Silk' and then 'Lemon' is no easy feat, but the emotionally-charged 'Drip' is ripe with warm pads and a quavering gentle high-synth line that highlights Moktar's versatility, not only as a producer but also as an artist. 'Drip' is imbued in the same sensibility as the rest of the EP, one which celebrates his Arabic heritage and culture after having spent years facing stereotyping and racism in so-called Australia. Defined by his beautifully crafted intersections between future club music and traditional Arabic instrumentation and sampling, Moktar represents an artist who has now reached a point where he feels comfortable moving around freely, physically and spiritually. 'Drip' is a welcome pause amongst the organised chaos of the rest of the high-energy EP. It is a call to reflect on the moods and feelings that he has so carefully embedded in the EP, and an invitation to follow your true self.

Biography

In a scene in which it is difficult to stand out, managing to do so is quite an accomplishment.
Creating a new versus act is definitely a way to get noticed, but even then you need the
right ingredients to turn it into a success. Dualizers is the creation of Michael de Cuyper and
Mattias Bulik, 2 Belgian music addicts who were already known as Deejay Cuyper and Ble3k.
One of the biggest factors of their success is that when they started their collaboration in
2009, they already had a significant musical background. Both being inspired by techno
and hard techno since their teen years, they had built up a vast knowledge of the genres.
Technically they were both equally skilled and proficient, resulting in a great combination
during their live performances. They have the unique capability to use their experience
and expectations as a raver on the dancefloor to make their sets as interesting as humanly
possible. Meeting on regular bases, trying out new tracks, techniques and interactions
with their crowd… they keep it fresh and revive their act on a continuous base. Every
performance truly is unique and will keep you interested from beginning till end. As a true
hard techno lover, you will easily recognize familiar sounds but rediscover them in a new
package, story or form.

To sum it up: Dualizers is a motivated duo in the hardtechno scene and their energizing
combination of an act on 4 decks, 2 mixers and high end effects will blow you off your feet!
