The founders of @fat-bird-recordings Jimmie Dub and George Palmer teamed up to create a unique electronic blend of dub and techno. Jimmie uses his analog synths to create deep, lush chords and heavy modulating basslines. Progressing the tracks with lots of electronic effects and melodies. To top off the mix, George adds some catchy vocals. @Frenk-Dublin takes his duties on the remix of 'Scientist' adding 808 basses and rhythmical drums evolving the track into a bass driven soundscape where fragmented chords and vocals drop in and out of the audible spectrum.

Steppas Records presents ‘Osaka Steppas’ Vol. 3, the third in a series of releases showcasing the Japanese underground dub movement. This edition features Osaka producers Hiroshi and Roots Masashi in collaboration with Spanish producer Ojah and well-respected UK singer Rudey Lee. The Osaka Steppas’ raw and unrelenting sound developed in the subterranean clubs of Osaka, a port city famous for its counterculture night life. Inspired not only by the sounds of Jamaica, but also drawing inspiration from UK and European soundsystem culture with enough bassweight to test even the toughest of soundsystems. Presented in a beautifully designed full colour sleeve inspired by the works of the legendary ukiyo-e woodblock artist, Hokusai. This release is not to be missed.

Side A features an earth rocker riddim from Ojah & Hiroshi, with conscious lyrics sung by the legendary Rudey Lee.

Side B features a much sought after dubplate from Osaka producer Roots Masashi, a deep, dark & mystical steppa.

Massaia DUBkillah aka Elex is a dedicated activist of mexican Reggae Dub culture. Native of Queretaro, a city of Mexico, he uses to participate and share his passion for music since 1998… He has been part of several Reggae bands of his town like Green Olive and Junkunus.

From 2001 to 2008, he shared national stages with legendary groups. This experience will bring him into international Dub promotion in Mexico, presenting artists like Jah Works, Webcam Hi Fi, Indica Dubs, Weeding Dub, Haspar, Brother Culture, Bukkha, Dubstuy, OBF, Mr Zebre and Jah Massive, among others!

In 2013, Massaia DUBkillah is born! Elex starts a new activity in music production, taking the path of Dub Steppa style. This will bring him to build his own Sound System, following the tradition of the ‘Do It Yourself’ movement…

2020 is a year dedicated to composition for Massaia DUBKillah, with the production of a first sung EP, named « Revolutionary Sound Army »! It can be described as militant Dub Steppa, in company of huge artists from international Sound System stage : Blackout JA, Fitta Warri, Ras Demo aka Demolition Man, Lisa Dainjah, Lengualerta and Mowty Mahlyka aka Dark Angel…
