Having introduced a plethora of some of the most talented and versatile producers working within Drum & Bass today, it makes sense in 2013 – a full five years after Mainframe’s debut release – that the label should simultaneously revisit and re-imagine a four-piece set of tracks that have represented in full our sound since the very beginning. Reading like a who’s-who of forward-thinkers whilst presenting both debuting and returning artists, the Remix EP is no mere retrospective: four tracks varying wildly in composition and tone, a true display of production excellence from a collective at the height of their respective technical abilities. The two minds from the south of the UK return with a 12” that shows all-the prowess that you would expect from the pairing, an original track and much requested for the VIPs only fusing of previous works by Ulterior Motive.

In the great tradition of track fusions within our side of DNB Ulterior Motive give us the AA, a fusing of a previous massive release for Metalheadz- Lost Contact and Forgiven. The track was made as a VIP for the summer festival season just passed only the closest of crew members and as expected caused earthquakes on first airings at Outlook and Sun n Bass to mention a few.

‘Modulation’ is a single which once again demonstrates why The Prophecy has been gaining traction within their genre. Its construction points at how meticulous their production standard is, with carefully layered beat patterns and a heavyweight bassline which adds to the track’s heavier elements. The track begins to build steadily on light percussion, before its breakdown drops into segments of pumping distortion. Each flurry of beats pushes the track further and further onto the dancefloor, a sure-fire record which will rattle club speakers from Slovakia to the UK. It sets a precedent for the duo, epitomising a level of sonic manufacturing often not seen within artists just at the beginning stages of their career.

Jovan Ilic (Bons) is a producer and sound designer born in Serbia (Novi Sad) his first ep was released at 30 August 2017 on Warfare Recordings, and he already has 9 labels behind him for only 2 years of releasing music.
Bons have unique dark neurofunk style but he also loves to experiment so you never know what's new to expect from him. 
Bons the last EP was released on Raving Panda, and its calls (Bons - Balkan EP) and it's a free download release.
Right now he is finished new EP and its gonna be out soon on Hanzom Records, that ep have 5 tracks and he knows its gonna blow mind of every Drum and Bass lover!
