Intentionally Slow. Vinyl-only mix
A travel into Drum’n Bass of the late 1990s and Mid-2000’s. 

The file sat somewhere on my laptop, recorded a while ago. Starts out with a really dirty Dillinja track, not just due to the worn-out vinyl, but also because the production itself features a compressed bass, just constantly above the 'Threshold', hence the track title and distortion. 
It is followed by a Klute track from whom we’ll never know who the 'Angry Woman' in his life was who inspired the title of the track, and then an early Teebee track with lots of attention to detail, ingenious breaks and a cold nordic depth. Ob boy, what happened to Teebee. 
Next is one of the major constructed abstract tracks of its era, the inevitable Krust, setting the 'Soul in Motion'. This track builds slowly with an intro of 2:30 mins and a total length of 10 mins. It provides enough sonic space for great mix and blend techniques and is sadly not played very often anymore. 
Incoming Lemon D’s 'Rockers II Rockers' is strong on the breakbeat side again, with a prominent crash cymbal, that drives and ultimately rocks the dancefloor. 
Totally forgot what the next track is, maybe some C.I.A. or Breakbeat Science? Can’t find the record. However the follow-up track does not need much introduction, it is Krusts‘ 'Warhead', a stomping roller to test every sound system.
It is not complicated and constructed, but straight into the stomach in its simplicity and provides a contrastive layer for the incoming next track by Digital, who didn’t just meet the 'Deadline', but has outdone himself with this anthem. An aggressive synth-stab runs against a pair of congas and a crash cymbal, not to forget a stupid simple bass, and that’s it, one of the ten most iconic drum’n bass tracks. 
Can’t top it? Meet Photek’s aka Special Forces‘ 'Bleep Tune'. Simple, repetitive and with a high value breakbeat running for an alarming sine-wave bleep. 
This bleep is answered by Klutes‘ four-tone bleep signal of 'Unwind Yourself', a straight forward dancefloor filler on its own. 
After such a high roller, a beautifully sung 'Run Away' by Fox produced by Marcus Intalex and Calibre provides some soulful bliss into the melancholic realm. One of the best drum’n bass songs with vocals ever, it sends a deeply humanistic message about life: „Gonna face my daemons, never walk away“. 
What better way to get out of that on a high note with the less dark and somewhat liquid Intalex amen tune 'Temperance', the title nodding towards a club night  at Manchester’s Hacienda that started in the mid-1980s.

Welcome to the 19th chapter of the Deep Consequences Podcast. A collaboration with Deep Electronics from The Netherlands and Truth or Consequences from Italy. Bringing you the best music from the underground. in this montly released podcast. This month Kaiser makes his apperreance on the Deep Consequences Podcast.

Bio:

Based in Bari (Italy), Kaiser is a DJ who starts making his first steps in 2007 by practicing on old turntables. Once he fell in love with techno music, he started building his own music studio in order to start creating his own music. 

Thanks to his productions he started collaborating with Luca Agnelli and his label "Etruria Beat". On this label he released his first vinyls and now he is officially a part of Etruria beat crew and booking.
Meanwhile he released for great labels like Planet Rhythm, Quant, End Of Dayz, Wundeblock and many others with such results and feedbacks by international artists.

Since November, 2016 he started a new residency in one of the best clubs of Apulia, near Bari in the South-Italy, named Kepler Club but also he is everyday working for new productions and most of all improving himself to reach new goals.

Deep Consequences Podcast # 19 - Kaiser

Acronym first surfaced in late 2012 on his own imprint, Dimensional Exploration, putting out mind-bending EP DE 001. Since that time, ჰis music has been released on Abdulla Rashim’s label Northern Electronics as well as setting a regular cooperation with Semantica Records where he found a platform for his latest LP, Entagled In Vines, in 2016. 

With his contribution to Bassiani Podcast series that was recorded live at BASSIANI while RA in Residence’s opening night Acronym serves up one hour of deep, percussive techno loaded with the most energetic, fresh and mind-bending tunes of himself. Moving from a cinematic, shadowy introduction the live-set turns into diverse rhythmic section where Swedish talent shows us the virtue of his thrilling and trippy techno sound.

This morning I find myself sitting in a nearly bare office, which was once the headquarters of Headphone Commute for the last five years, as I prepare to depart this country and move on to London, hopefully for the better times. This is the last mix published from the United States (for now), and I’m happy that it will be by Roel Funcken, a friend and a confidant in various genres, whom I will be closer to, once I’m on the other side of the pond.
