DJ Kelvin was born and raised in Toronto, Canada as the by-product of parents from the beautiful island paradise of Grenada. As a young child in North America, pop, hip-hop and R&B were the mainstays on the radio. Soca, calypso and reggae were some of the regular sounds heard around the house for DJ Kelvin growing up and were embedded in his blood. Toronto and New York carnivals were staple summer time activities, but it wasn’t until experiencing Spicemas in Grenada as a teenager that DJ Kelvin truly fell in love with soca music.
