Kura  Happ and Maurice Newport (Mo) are Trigger Fish a Cook Islands duo that has  performed extensively in Rarotonga. Both are accomplished musicians with over 30  years of experience on the International music circuit.   Kura has toured France, Italy, Canada, and England and Mo is regularly on  tour in New Zealand and Australia as the drummer with the Iconic New Zealand  country band – The Warratahs.

 Trigger Fish’s music is an acoustic percussion driven soulful mix of jazz and reggae. Kura on acoustic guitar and vocals accompanied by Mo on  percussion creates a vibe that blends all musical influences to produce an
  original sound of their own, easily covering a song and turning it into a  Trigger Fish owned song.

 The  duo glides from jazz, hip hop, soul and reggae with originals sung in English  and Cook Islands Maori. Trigger Fish create a Pacific style that has many  followers. The versatile duo has played in bars, cafes,  restaurants, parties and large and small outdoor stages. Able to tech their own  performances if required, the duo are professional musicians that understand the  requirements for excellent performance.  

 The  Duo released an EP of originals in March 2012
