He’s the techno punk, the unboxable nomad: Berlin DJ, producer and label owner Alex Ridha, better known as BOYS NOIZE, made his DJ debut at the age of 15, taking a teenager´s love of house and techno to a global scale. Accolades have been bestowed by Rolling Stone, who named him one of the "Top 10 DJ's Who Rule The World" and Beatport, who elected him “Best Electronic Act” 3 years in a row. He´s rocked the world's biggest stages, lit up Coachella three times, took Lollapalooza by storm, and headlined festivals and clubs on every continent – from Berlin techno temple Berghain to Fuji Rock in Japan to Justin Vernon’s Eaux Claires Festival in the woods of Wisconsin.

As an artist and producer, Ridha has created a sound and a vision that’s peerless, uncompromising, and enduring – respected in the scene, banging from underground to mainstream, it flies in the face of convention at every turn. He’s remixed Depeche Mode, Daft Punk, David Lynch, Feist and Nine Inch Nails, collaborated with Snoop Dogg, Erol Alkan, and Jarvis Cocker, worked on Mark Ronson’s “Uptown Special” and on the soundtrack for upcoming Oliver Stone’s Snowden, and released group projects with genius pianist Chilly Gonzales (Octave Minds), Skrillex (Dog Blood), and Mr. Oizo (Handbraekes). The list of names alone speak volumes about Ridha’s multifaceted approach.

Ridha is also the heart of Boysnoize Records, the label that he started back in 2005. Founded originally in order to retain his full artistic freedom while releasing his own music under Boys Noize, The Berlin-based anarchist collective —and it’s sub-label, BNR Trax— became a home for multidirectional quality electronic music and is responsible for more than 150 releases incl. Strictly Raw (2015), Out Of The Black (2012), Power (2009), Oi Oi Oi (2007) and Octave Minds (2014).

DJ Dmitry is known internationally as a DJ, producer and co-founder of the seminal New York dance group Deee-lite. In 1990 they released their worldwide smash hit, Groove Is In The Heart, which still packs dance floors today and which Rolling Stone Magazine recently called one of 10 best dance tracks of all time. After releasing five albums, eleven number one dance hits and touring around the world the group disbanded in '95. Dmitry continued DJ'ing, moving crowds around the globe from Hong Kong to Jerusalem and from Berlin's Love Parade to Brazil's Rock In Rio. He was given a DJ of the year award in the party capital of the world, Ibiza.
DJ Dmitry has made remixes for many artists including Arthur Russell, Jungle Brothers, Sinead O'Connor, Ziggy Marley, Nina Hagen, Ultra Naté and others. He collaborated with Julee Cruise (Twin Peaks/ David Lynch) to release the album "My Secret Life". DJ Dmitry is currently based in Berlin where he continues to DJ, compose, produce and re-mix.

Longwalkshortdock esentially started the first time Dave King heard gritty electronic music in early eighties videogames. Strongly influenced by these sounds and melodys, Dave started recording and looping segments as a child. He also got a taste for sampling and recording; taping segments of his piano practice to fool his parents into thinking he was practicing in the other room when he was really playing nintendo (note : actually practicing might have served him better). Currently, a veteran of sound design and electronic music production for well over a decade, Longwalkshortdock's music has stepped into a genre of its own. Heavily influnced by early 80s video game music, metal and rock music, found-sound and vintage analog synthesis, he stacks layers of melody in his tracks until they implode and reform. Heavy drums and aggresive synths join forces with rolling grooves and melodic lead lines to create a wide variety of slamming dance floor originals. Lesser known fact : Not limited to dance music, LWSD's music crosses into many territories. His vast catalogue of hundreds of songs dives into ambient, IDM, electro, acid, house, big beat, indie rock, drones, electronica and down tempo. Dave holds two degrees from the Art Institute of Burnaby for Music Recording and Production. Playing songs and remixes he wrote and produced, Longwalkshortdock performs live PA with live vocals, synthesizers, drum machines, guitar, effects, toys, computers and even some of his own strobes and lighting. Know for his increadably "enthusiastic" performances, longwalkshortdock creates an undeniable stage presence and visceral experience at a show. Break through performances at Soundwave 2009 and Shambhala 2010 have made LWSD an artist to watch out for. He was even recently featured on the legendary Annie Nightingales pod cast on BBC radio 1 as a result of a review received about his "smashing" Shambhala 2011 performance. Longwalkshortdock has performed live with the likes of Phil Western (Download, Skinny Puppy, Kone) and opened for talented artists like, MSTRKRFT, Opiuo, Junkie XL, Vibesquad, Alex Patterson (The Orb), Mimosa, Adam Freeland, Shout out out out out and Matt the Alien too name a few. Always working to enhance and upgrade the LWSD live experience Dave is currently in the process of collaborating with veteran of visual wizardry Tim Hill of RIM Visuals. Using at least 10 projectors loaded with custom content, the live LWSD experience is nothing short of a full venue transformation into a etherial and immersive light cube of doom! Longwalkshortdocks second self-released record entitled "Bigger Fish Frying" follows up on his debut album "Casual Tea" with many signs of progress and promise. Final point of note : Did you know they found him in a cave on the moon? Thats what i heard...

 Since the release of The Strumbellas’ eponymous 2009 EP, which was peppered
with accolades from Toronto weeklies and prompted a proclamation from the CBC
that they are a “band to watch,” the six-piece group has been slogging it out, earning
their stripes through residencies at The Cameron House and most recently a month of
Home.Sweet.Home Tuesdays at The Dakota Tavern.  The band also left the proverbial
nest in 2012, making new fans with two cross-country tours as well as playing a plethora
of festivals including CMW, NXNE, Pop Montreal, Eaglewood and Hillside in Guelph,
which by all accounts was the equivalent of their cotillion ball.

The Strumbellas’ 2012 debut album, My Father And The Hunter, offers a beautiful,
harmonious dichotomy between melancholy heartbreak on songs Carry My Body,

Diane, Windsurfers, Underneath A Mountain, Left For Dead and The Bird That Follows
Me compared to blow-the-barn-doors-off spunk on The Sheriff, Lakes, Sailor’s Blues,
Rhinestone, I Just Had A Baby and Pistol.  The album, which was produced by Cone

McCaslin and recorded at Blue Rodeo’s coveted Woodshed Studio, is the harvest of
talented friends, some whisky and a few rounds of euchre.  Harmonies, stomps, hollers,
claps and gang vocals unabashedly abound as the songs weave compelling stories
throughout the entire album.  Dance, cry, put your fist through a wall or call someone

The group recently headed south of the border to record with West Coast producer
Ryan Hadlock (The Lumineers, Metric, The Strokes, Gossip) at Bear Creek Studio near
Seattle.
