All good things take time, @Aussteiger said once. 

And indeed, it took a serious amount of time to get everything set for what soon will be known as Dub Disco´s very first release! 
We’ve been digging deep inside Aussteiger’s tune collection. Not only to make sure that the first three-tracker is a belter, but that it also showcases exactly the kind of musical approach we wanted as our personal imprint:

To hell with a boring and homogeneous release that only represents one genre! We were looking for something that stands for itself, something that tells a story, something that is representative for what the artist stands for in a musical sense. And after a tedious quest, we carefully curated something we think is dope!

Kicking off the number one is a track disclosing the joint forces of Berlin-based collective of musicians Los Wawis and Aussteiger's capabilities as a remixer. Here appears a psychedelic version of the track, which is carried by gentle guitars, a dubby bassline as well as the funky-trippy synthesizers that usher a tropical vibe onto the dancefloors.

The starter on the flip is entitled “Heimat” and comes around as a melancholic interpretation of Aussteiger’s time in exile, a period that enabled him to craft his very own style. There is not much to say about this bomb that the ear doesn't catch instantly: this one is an honest earworm, with it's irresistibly arranged horns and a pervasive and driving bassline.

To finish everything off, we went for a nasty banger, that carefully blends different aspects of the raving side of dance music. The electrifying broken beat and it’s haunting bassline are blended with an intense influence of Acid.

Shortly after @Aussteiger's successful debut on Dub Disco we knew exactly that we wanted our long time friends S&W (@S-and-W) on board for our second release. These guys have been a huge influence on us for a long time now. First we fell in love with their eclectic and powerful DJ sets and when we heard the demos of these hardware nerds we were truly blown away.

When we asked them to produce our second release they handcrafted this EP full of lovely analogue sounds for us. It surely stands in contrast to the first record and by that underlines exactly what Dub Disco is about: A journey through the vastness of electronic music.

Cashmere Green is the opener on this EP. It's a true Nu-Funk, West-Coast influenced banger with a distant cosmic flair carried by meticulous and peculiar drums. Driven by a pending groove, this one invites the light into any dreamers ears and ensures your very own trippy dancefloor experience.

On the flip, we dive into Wind up Bird. The track starts off as a scratchy and vibrant House track, riding on a funky bassline. It gets carried away by dreamy chords and breaks down into an incredible melancholic melody that will keep no eye dry.

Finally there is Machine Love. An 80s influenced open air peak time party tool that will definitely put a smile on your face and a rocket in your pocket.

Dub Disco Presents S&W - Previews - 180g Vinyl [DuDi02]

For DuDi003, we got back right back to the beginning of Dub Disco. Those who remember the very first track on the DuDi001, Los Wawis - No Se in the Aussteiger Remix, will also remember the mind-bending and psychedelic Synthesizer chords, dominating the tune.
This fertile combination is now back, orchestrated by Thorsten Lee Broda, the synth wizard of Neukölln and @Aussteiger.

Together they create a warm sounding ep full of marvelous melodies and smooth beats for the couch and the dancefloor.

A1 Moon over Aleppo starts everything off with a carpet ride to the obscure realms of arab influences. Piercing synth-riffs fuse with bouncing chords form a thick layer of psychedelic madness that dominates this straight forward Disco bomb.

On the flip we celebrate this huge Balearic summer tune made for the festivals and long summer nights. A fluffy cloud of a track called Balearic Cosmos. Carried by delicate percussion and gentle melodies, this tune just makes you feel good.

B2 Nobody´s listening we give you this groovy melody dripping with heart-warming and twisted sounds that take you on a ride in no time. This one is reminiscent of Daft Punk's early days, but also blends in West-Coast influences, and would fit any sunset ride on the Malibu shore-line in a convertible.

Thorsten Lee Broda & Aussteiger - Previews [DuDi03]

Group efforts are always a great thing. Lengthy in part but very much rewarding in the end. And this is exactly what is happening with the next Dub Disco Release: What was supposed to be a Remix record, in the beginning, turned out to be much more! But first let us introduce Aporia. Born and raised in New Zealand and located in Berlin, he showcases a blend of synth-pop and Balearic gentleness or as he describes it; “Supernatural synthetic, tropical rock n roll”. In 2016 he released his first album ‘Almost Tropical’ on cassette via Cosmic Compositions & Prison Tapes, featuring the tracks Jupiter’s Goldcoast and Stereo Moon. The cassette now being sold out we decided to put it on our next record, alongside some remixes from friends and family. Quickly we received remixes by the likes of @Aussteiger, @LITS801, @S&W and Cosmic Palms and decided to include 5 tracks by Aporia himself, turning an initial 4 track project into a 9 track long EP.

A-Side contains 4 Remixes and the B-Side comes with 5 warm soulful melodic super original tracks.

Alexander Albrecht returns to Francis Harris' Scissor & Thread imprint under his Melquí­ades guise for the Excerpts EP. As with his previous release on the label, Blue Caves, the Melbourne producer delivers a rich and affecting release, blending genres and moods with ease. 

"The idea behind this EP", says Alex Albrecht, "was to capture moments and "excerpts" of my improvised live set. I've used field recordings from a number of places from around the world as inspiration (including my recent visit to New York for the last S&T Tour) for the individual tracks - there's a variety of genres within the release but essentially they were just improvised extended jam sessions. I then chose some interesting excerpts for the record."

'Portal' kicks off the EP, a deep and woozy track with a strong groove, layered with pads and effects that radically enriches the dancefloor cut. 

'Tower Of The Sun' utilizes a similar driving beat, heavy on the hi-hats, but with a more submerged mood, punctuated with distant blasts and shards of noise. 

'Schaefer Street' also employs snappy percussion and snares, intertwined with bubbling melody and ethereal pads and washes. 

The same track is given a re-work by Patrice Scott, thickening up the groove and providing the most out-and-out dancefloor friendly track of the EP, while maintaining the fragments of deep and jazzy melody.

If there's anything to make this joyless summer brighter then surely it's a new Afterlife release. One man Balearic machine Steve Miller does it again with the Summer Of Love EP; four cuts steeped in accomplished musicianship ranging from jazzy soulful touches to moodier, bluesey affairs. Here we feature 'Fou', a smoky, skankin' little number with playful congas to offset it's edgier synths.  Sunnier climes might be out of reach for many of us this year, but all you really have to do is let Afterlife take you there.

German multi-instrumentalist Aussteiger delivers his Cosmic Casa LP, a voyage through obscure feel good energy, and intergalactic funk. The dynamic producer proved his versatility once more, curating a wholesome journey from start to finish, completing its mission to land on mother earth this December, sitting comfortably on his own imprint, Dub Disco.

The first half of the album is a fusion of disco, house and pop, with quirky vocals lacing each of the tracks. Opener ‘Rebel’ is a slow burner before developing into a slick and curious outing with the eclectic and particular sound of his singing voice, taking you through the motions as you enter the world of Aussteiger, are you a rebel?
Next on the agenda is ‘The Feeling’ featuring vocals from Nico Leivo from Buenos Aires & Stephen Paul Taylor, the Synth Pop Troubadour, heating things up some more with a retro club energy. ‘IWBYL’ sits slightly more stripped back than the opening pair, smooth and sleek drum work melds with an eccentric vocoder effect, making this some pure mellow magic. On an Electro tip is ‘Boogie Down’, immediately you feel the warmth of this early morning record mover, a track that should be shared with friends in a cosy environment after a long night.

Gliding you into the second half of the album is ‘Pacific Dream’ A moving and classy deep house number from Aussteiger with pure passion oozing from the seams of the track. Raw and euphoric synth work winds its way round the body of the track. The aptly named ‘Leonardo Breaks’ is an amalgamation of broken drums and lush pads that brush by. ‘Freeman’ again continues to build on the sense of freedom you begin to build as you listen to the ‘Cosmic Casa’ album, a floating and blissful experience from start to finish. Coming from a different direction is penultimate track ‘Unchained’, maintaining the depth of the album. Last but not least is the closing track ‘Floating’ a glimmering outro giving you permission to land from the cosmic experience you have just endured, breezy like a summer's afternoon leaving you with an accomplished feeling.

A tasteful, inspiring and emotive encounter from the Dub Disco founder, melding different textures, flavours and genres to make something beautiful, with each track communicating with the others to make a well rounded album and powerful listening experience. Positive music at its finest.

In a time when significant parts of dance music have become unexcitingly homogenous, two DJ buddies decided to pierce through and deliver their vision of great music. With dub being one of the founding fathers of electrically engineered music searching for that minimal yet stimulating groove and disco serving as the timeless elevating sound that took the dancefloors by storm, Dub Disco was born. Always keeping these influences in mind yet never making them their sole interest, Aussteiger and Serj Nosé have forged their very own style as DJs throughout the years and are delivering their take on what should be heard and played! 
Their uncompromised approach to the love and craft of music has led them to turn Dub Disco into the kind of label that does things right. Riding the same spirit, underground digger & producer George Wedel joined the Dub Disco Team some years later.
