Craig Hamilton is a Glasgow-based DJ, House music producer, Managing Director for the brand Flatpack Traxx and owner of The Outer Circle. With over 15 years of contributions and support for underground music, he continues to introduce talented, up-and-coming artists while showcasing his own quality sound through solid production work and DJ sets across the globe. 

Having played a variety of venues and parties in Belgium, London, Romania, Ireland, Dubai, Los Angeles, Mexico, San Francisco, and Miami for the Winter Music Conference, along with several residencies at home in Scotland and promoting events under the Mindset and Outer Circle brands. A majority of his music represents deep underground house sounds, but he continues to pull influence from disco, funk, techno, jazz and soul.

His strong affection for music far surpasses his talent behind the decks and beyond to the studio. With multiple releases of original tracks and remixes on widely respected house labels such as Tango, Robsoul Recordings, and many others, his exceptional skills and hard work have made him a favourite amongst international underground DJs including Chris Stussy, Traumer, Martinez Brothers, SY, Rossi, Mark Farina and Phil Weeks. 

With a strong dedication to moving this genre forward, expect continued international gigs, along with many future releases from Craig on The Outer Circle and other labels as he continues to inspire and shape the future of underground house music.

Abandon Silence crew returns with the third release on their label. Continuing to shine a light on the finest producers from their native Liverpool, AS003 comes from the two of the brightest talents in the city, Matrefakt. The EP contains six tracks, including three original productions by Matrefakt. Lead single Band Of Acid is pure dancefloor heat alongside the rolling Reasons and introspective warm up cut Shortcut To Nowhere. The release is backed up by three stellar remixes from Asquith, Fall Forward and the mysterious DJ Mountain Dad.

Ricardo Villalobos and Gerd Janson remix Jerome Sydenham, Fatima Njai, and Mario Punchard’s ‘Trans Afro Express’ for Rekids.

Following Sydenham, Njai and Punchard’s fresh take on Kraftwerk’s classic earlier this year, which picked up support from the likes of Optimo, India Jordan, DJ Bone, and more, Radio Slave recruits a pair of all-star remixers in Ricardo Villalobos and Gerd Janson to deliver a scintillating set of interpretations for his Rekids imprint.

Running Back’s Gerd Janson injects slap bass, funk-laden guitars, and twinkling synths over the original’s vocals for the ‘Dance’ mix, followed by a stripped-back instrumental version to kick off the A side. On the flip, Villalobos delivers a typically trippy affair, bringing constantly evolving strokes of modular mayhem and zapping percussion for over ten minutes, nervously settling into a chugging and deeply satisfying halftime groove.

When Toolroom Records reached its monumental 50th release, I had the honor of contributing a track that would go on to become one of the standout techno anthems of the year. This single, released on Toolroom Trax, quickly gained global recognition as the sound of the summer, dominating dancefloors and playlists all around the world.

Designed with the peak-time energy of a true techno weapon, this track delivered on all fronts—hard-hitting basslines, relentless percussion, and a hypnotic groove that kept bodies moving from dusk 'til dawn. It was a celebration of everything that makes techno so powerful: the drive, the intensity, and that unshakeable pulse that connects crowd and DJ.

The response was overwhelming. Played by the biggest names in the scene, it shot up the charts and became a staple in sets at festivals, clubs, and underground events worldwide. The track didn’t just make its mark—it set the tone for a new wave of peak-hour techno. From the moment it dropped, it was clear that this was a record that would be remembered for years to come.

I’m proud to have contributed to Toolroom's legacy, and to have created a track that resonated with so many. This one’s for the techno lovers, the dancefloor warriors, and everyone who felt the power of this anthem.

July 8th sees House music’s sharp shooting DJ/producer Riva Starr return to his acclaimed Snatch! Records imprint with his brand new EP entitled, ‘Naples Play Bass’. 

“Naples is my native city and it’s been an enormous influence on my music over the years and still is. I really wanted to pay homage, so I’ve gone back to my roots and aimed to make this EP reflect the same energy and vibe of my beautiful city.” Riva Starr

This vibrant two-track EP sees the London-based Italian-born DJ/producer continue his fine form and deliver another exceptional offering, following recent appearances on revered imprints such as Damian Lazarus’ Crosstown Rebels, Jamie Jones’ Hot Creations, Green Velvet’s Cajual Records, Matthew Dear’s Spectral Sound and Matthias Tanzmann’s Moon Harbor Recordings amongst others.

The EP’s lead track ‘Hagakure’ kicks off proceedings, taking the listener on a funk-driven journey full of looped-up disco-tinged House samples, warped sound effects and powerful bass frequencies.         

‘Nite Like This’ is next up and concludes the release, boasting a distinctive summery sounding House groove with an alluring filtered chord-riff and a never-been-heard-before vocal, which was recorded in the late 2000s, from the legendary late, great Daft Punk collaborator Romanthony.

All in all, both tracks complement each other perfectly and make another fine addition to Snatch’s already potent repertoire. ‘Naples Play Bass’ EP is exclusively available via Beatport on July 8th and the rest of the world two weeks later.
