Nei started DJing during the late 90s rave scene in London, playing mostly at house parties as well as a stint on the underground UK Garage radio station, London Live and Direct. Eventually becoming tired of carting her ever-growing vinyl collection around, she moved into the world of digital mp3 mixing, working on her sleek, mobile DJ setup over the years. In 2019 she received her 200 hour yoga teacher training accreditation and became obsessed with yoga and in particular, building soundtracks for yoga classes. Nei's other obsession is music production, which she does from her home studio in the Scottish Highlands, collaborating with her band Little Manitou (www.littlemanitou.com). While hard to "genre-lise", she loves to produce melancholic electronic grooves with layers of vocals, harmonies, keys, moody bass licks and live guitars.
When not making music, Nei pays the bills working in I.T., is a mother of three wild and gorgeous boys, a peace activist and a massive lover of nature. You can often find her walking on the beach, watching the sunrise/sunset or marvelling at the moon and stars.

Slimzos Recordings is a foundational Grime label established in 2002 by DJ Slimzee, a pioneer in the genre and co-founder of Rinse FM. Based in London, the label emerged during the early 2000s as Grime was defining its unique sound and was closely tied to the dubplate culture that emphasized new & exclusive music. The label became known for releasing pivotal tracks from artists like DJ Oddz, Wizzbit, Plasticman & Starfox. 

The label has supported established artists but also served as a platform for emerging talents, reflecting Slimzee's focus on community and innovation within the genre. Slimzee's influence on the Grime scene is monumental. He is a central figure pushing dark, bass-heavy sounds that became synonymous with Grime's identity. 

By championing fresh talent and maintaining a commitment to the underground ethos of Grime, the label continues to be a beacon of creativity & innovation. Slimzos has not only shaped the genre's history but also remains vital in its ongoing evolution, bringing it to global audiences and inspiring the next generation of artists
