Reggae & Dub music label outta Czech Republic

Dub from the Ground is a group of selectors and lovers of sound system culture. The group was originally founded in 2013 in Brno, where after some time the project moved to Trenčín. After years of promoting local and foreign sound systems, a decision was made in the autumn of 2017 to gradually start building their own sound system. In the current line-up of Botanic, Boa, the group is influenced by contemporary world dub culture, reggae, dubstep, and electronic bass music, which they present on a self-built sound system and special sound effects.

Inspiré par les musiques underground et la culture steampunk, Kandee forge depuis 2015 un dub électrique et puissant.
En live, Kandee invite au voyage multisensoriel grâce à un subtil mélange d’infrabasses et de mélodies vibrantes, où sonorités aériennes viennent se heurter à des rythmiques profondes voire brutales. 
Oscillant entre dub traditionnel et expérimental, le producteur et chanteur n’a de cesse de rechercher la surprise de son public. Une expérience qui ne laissera personne indemne !
Kandee a su, au fil des années, se faire une place dans le paysage du dub français en signant chez des labels tels que Blackboard jungle, Skank Lab ou encore Moonshine recording avec des morceaux qui résonnent à travers le monde.

• DJ Diaz is a bass music pioneer, roots & culture apologist, soundsystem activist and has been an
ambassador of the Austrian electronic music scene since the year 2000.

• Running the SUBSISTENCE Soundsystem together with King Cone proves DJ Diaz as an alpine bass vanguard ever since.

• As Promoter and Host of the several Club nights in Austria he shows the versatility and full extent of his profound knowledge of music and widespread network.

• His musical experience runs the gamut from Roots Reggae to old school ragga jungle in his early years to various forms of Dub and Bass Music in recent times.

• The distinctive style of DJ Diaz’ Selections align UK-Steppers sounds with Reggaestep and Dub with half-step Jungle vibes.

• As an early adopter, DJ Diaz stands for musical progress and improvement, always with a sense for caring about the roots & culture in various kinds of off-beat & bass music.

• His creative work is dedicated to the soundsystem culture and to the miraculous art form of djing, mixing and dubbing.

• So he realized and conducted different art projects, academic research labs and workshops together with universities, cultural funds and international acting artists.

• In collective with the Subsistence Soundsystem Family DJ Diaz is fighting against the commodification of the underground music scene and the entire natural world.
