From the massive compilation "Social Sounds From Planet Dub" with 18 tracks from Dub and Reggae artists from various corners of the globe all standing together in solidarity against the ignorance and dangerous intolerance of the radical right-wing European faction calling themselves PEGIDA (Patriotic Europeans Against the Islamification of the Occident).  Lending a musical sign of support to the refugee children that have been forced to leave their own countries, showing them that they won't always be met with that kind of ugliness as they try to start a new chapter in a foreign place.     All proceeds go to the charity project KINDERSPRACHBRÜCKE JENA, E.V. in Germany that provides language and integration programs for the kids along with a chance for them to have their very own radio show.  

The track I made for this, with the kids in mind, is a very special tribute to Lucky Dube and all the incredible sociopolitical justice work he did through his beautiful music during his time on earth that was tragically cut short (RIP).  I built an analog synth-laden dub riddim out of his indelible classic "Think About the Children" from the 80s.  The children are the true inspiration, they dig deep for joy through the tuffest adversities with oftentimes more resilience, strength and courage than their adult-counterparts in this world. Dubin Hood uses a hardware heavy set-up incorporating a mix of analog and digital technology playing bass, melodicas, trombones, gourd flute, vocals, guitar, hammond organ, upright piano, synthesizers and old keyboards, beat programming, binghi drum and percussion, circuit bending, and a grip of outboard fx units.
