This month I thought I would share a live set with you. I barely ever record my live sets at clubs, but my friends at Spybar Chicago hooked me up with this recording. 
I left it raw and uninterrupted. It is from the start of my set till the last song of the night. I hope it gives you a feeling for what I do live, if you can hang for whole set (it's a few hours long). 
Spybar in Chicago is one of my favorite places to play. They have a dope sound system and great staff/family. This is a taste..

ALTITUDE - Integration EP (AS-16):
The first new release in 15 years for Matt Thibideau under the Altitude name and it's as if he never left.  Just like his legendary 1998-2001 output on Blue Recordings, each of these tracks is a deep and dubby analog groove to get utterly lost in.  'Integration' could be a new addition to Maurizio's classic M series, while 'Harmonic lays the reverb on even thicker over a dark pulsing bass.  'Stabilizer' provides a techier counterpoint more aligned with the deep and driving loops of Bluespirit or Driftwood.  It's a pleasure to have Altitude back on vinyl in such fine form.

Helmut Dubnitzkys second album is about his personal attitude towards life.
Authenticity is his main focus. Not only in the album title, but also in the single tracks, where Helmut deals with the topic of his own demands.
„No Hits“ and „A Better World“ express what he is reflecting on. Two different topics, but with a common thread: staying true to oneself and looking ahead with a positive attitude – reasonably arranged in a ,dubby’ manner. Nomen est omen for someone born as Dubnitzky. In between, groovy dance songs like „House“, „Like This, Like That“ and the wonderful „Calling My Name“, kind of the ‚sundowner’ of the album, which benefits from a stylish aquarelle front cover.
„Authenticity“ is an expression of musical maturity which started with Dubnitzkys debut album „We Walk“ and seems to have reached its peak level now.

As it strides on into its 11th year, German label Kindisch is back with another of its excellent Kindisch Stories compilations, this time headed up by Dance Spirit after a fine edition from Bedouin in 2016.Christopher Mohn and Reagan Denius are Dance Spirit, a duo that has been turning out compelling electronic music on labels like Supernature, Rebellion and Akbal Music since 2014. Passionate about timbre, melody and movement, their music is sensitive stuff that makes for steamy dancefloor excursions and takes the pair behind it all over the world as residents for Flying Circus. Here they show off their selecting and sequencing skills with a 13 track offering that features five brand new tracks and eight of their own exclusive remixes from the label’s back catalogue.
Things kick off with a flurry of Dance Spirit originals: ‘Enouement’ is a tech cut with a middle eastern feel thanks to the organic string sounds and glitchy textures, then ‘Piercing the Veil’ offers a nice supple and rubbery groove to get lost in before the pair link with Robbie Akbal for ‘Moving Shapes’, a seven minute masterpiece of loose and jumbled percussion, popping percussive sounds and jostling minimal beats. It is brilliantly atmospheric and really soundtracks a unique world.
From there Dance Spirit show off their remix skills with great versions of tracks by Nick Galemore, Powell and Gab Rhome, all of which are magically musical as well as slick and groove driven: lingering pianos and sombre chords all colour the airwaves and make for an intoxicating mood that sucks you right in.
This carries on through the second half and excellent remixes of YokoO, Stavroz and LUM. It’s back to original material then with a track featuring Hana Choe that bubbles with spacey chords and dreamy vocals. The whole splendid selection closes down with a trio of delicately designed and intricately detailed cuts that are absorbing and woozy and finish this selection in style.
Both as a compilation and testament of the skill of Dance Spirit as producers, this is a fantastic statement.

Brand new music from our artist and friend David Herrero. We are delighted to announce the release of ‘Alanka', his first EP of the year, in Stereo Productions. After eight years of top house and tech tunes, his organic sound has brought him headline slots at clubs all over the world, releases on top labels, and getting support from top DJs. As such, he is very much a key player in today's house music scene.

Opening up with 'Mixture', which has the taste and feel of the classic tribal underground tracks updated to nowadays sounds, which has a powerful groove focused on killing the dancefloor. ‘Alanka' has a great and sexy female voice with a bouncy groove. Robust and effective, it is also one of today's classics. Ending with the darkest cut, 'El Juego' is more 'Tech' and filled with after-hour and mental sounds and moods.All of the tracks here are sure to prove irresistible to both DJs and dancers and collectively are another landmark for the ever-talented David Herrero.
