It started on 20th of April, 2020, when Black Barrel turned into Leo Cap to burst onto dubstep scene with the first 140 bpm release - "Lost In Rave" EP on Dub Raw label. Over the two years Leo has earned massive recognition as a talented producer with original style. His punchy, dynamic and brash (as befits a real leopard) sound has earned him a spot on the charts and lineups around the world. Releases on a labels like "Navy Cut", "4NC¥", "Wheel & Deal", "Deep, Dark & Dangerous" say it better than any words.

Since 2020, it's became a good tradition - to release fresh stuff from Leo Cap on the home label every 4/20.

This year the producer delivers us two dark, deep tunes - "Music" and "No Position". Both tunes are full of mystic, tribal vibes. However his signature pushy and heavy flow is in the right place as always. The release will satisfy those who dig deeper side of 140 sound and, no doubt, will please connoisseurs of this fascet of Leo's production (if you ain't familiar with it then you should defo also check tunes "Desert Viper", "Lost In Rave" and "Sleepers"). So get your lighters ready, fam!

Okayama’s Tsuyoshi Hamada, better known as Dayzero, launches the new decade’s next wave of ZamZam releases with two sides of 140 sound system wreckers we couldn’t be happier to unleash. Wicked releases on Sentry, Heavy Traffic, Vomitspit, and FKOF have set the stage for this 7” stormer.  Deftly amalgamating influences from reggae, hip hop, and old school dubstep wobblers, Dayzero is a master of momentum and swagger, captured here in dubwise style & fashion. 

"Orbit Dub" is a cascade of dirty drums- smashing snares & rusty hats, deep-anchor sub and mid-range wub movement, all of it drenched in reverb, with a snippet of sound tape and menacing siren looping in the distance for contrast. 

"Theory Dub" clears the air for a wary view of a dystopian world... torn by war? Environmental collapse?  Either way the dread is palpable... With an intro cut from lacerating hi hats and test tones, kick and bass double in a pounding minimalist trudge, stopping only to blare distorted horns over an empty, forgotten wasteland.  These are rare tunes that manage to be both destructively heavy and intoxicatingly elated at the same time. Full points in the dance!!
