Zurich based alternative rock band Dead Milly floats somewhere between the mediterranean sea, wanderlust and the urgent need for loud guitars. They threw their individual musical tastes into one pot and stirred vigorously in this soup of metal, rock'n'roll and pop music. Bassist and singer Alexa and drummer Julia have jammed along for years before they found guitarist Bojana as the perfect match for their sound. In spring 2017 they recorded their first demotape with 4 songs. Several small club and pub gigs followed across Switzerland, they played at the Schlauer Bauer open air festival in Wetzikon and arranged some of their songs acoustically for a benefit event at the jazz club Moods in Zurich. For 2018, the three-piece band is equipped with new song material, tons of energy and the desire to bring some raw guitar music on stage.

Started as a lo-fi solo project years ago with 4 cassettes released on TOC Records, In My Head evolved through the years to become a duo with a drummer (Brun°), in addition to singing & guitar-playing Nicolas, and a bassist (Christophe Br) helped creating the perfect alchemy.
The music is now more indie-pop or indie-rock, mostly influenced or compared by the 90s music (Daniel Johnston, Cure, The Jesus & Mary Chain, Sebadoh, R.E.M., Pastels...).
In october, 2018 "Like A New Sun In My Life", a 6-track EP released both in 10'' vinyle and digital (including "She Pulls Me Higher") was released. A new mini-LP (8-tracks) is due to be released in early 2022, representing the evolution of the band, with more arrangements & vocals. Keep posted !

In My Head fut d'abord un projet solo récréatif et lo-fi (4 cassettes sorties sur TOC Records), en parallèle de Go Go Charton, Swan Peony ou Taste Of Cindy. Le projet prend ensuite de l'ampleur et devient duo puis trio avec l'arrivée de Brun° (batterie) et Christophe Br (basse). Nico avait d'ailleurs tenu la basse avec eux avec le projet post-rock Transbeauce (toujours actifs). De ballades sensibles en indie-rock plus énergique, le songwriting d'In My Head assume ses influences 90s, même s'ils sont bien plus ouverts que ça.
L'EP 6-titres "Like A New Sun In My Life" est sorti en octobre 2018 en vinyle 10'' et en digital - "She Pulls Me Higher" en est le premier extrait.
Un mini-LP 8-titres, présentant de nouvelles directions, avec plus d'arrangements musicaux et vocaux, est prêt à sortir début 2022.
Pour ceux qui aiment les comparaisons, imaginez un joyeux mélange des artistes suivants : Daniel Johnston  x R.E.M. x Pastels x Sebadoh x Velvet Underground x Cure...

Lire sur le papier qu’un groupe a décidé de se baptiser In My Head pourrait suffire à faire clignoter des signaux comme « je  pleure donc je  suis ». Mais quand on sait que le patronyme a été picoré dans le « Taste of Cindy » de Jesus & Mary Chain, la réalité de l’affaire et surtout sa sensibilité se précisent tout de suite mieux.
Et en fait non puisqu’on ne saurait parler d’autre chose que de flou dès lors qu’on évolue dans une musique faite de chausse trappes et de secondes couches.
Pour l’état civil ils sont Christophe Br, Brun° et Nicolas et pour l’histoire ils furent d’abord Transbeauce projet instrumental tendancieusement post-rock dont s'échappa en solo Nico, probablement dans l’envie d’humaniser la chose.
Pour le détail on fera appel à ces béquilles faciles que sont les comparaisons et on dira qu’on tiendrait là (enfin) une idéale réponse française à un axe qui irait des sucreries acides et viciées que ces quatre new-yorkais en sous-pull noir que l’on sait érigèrent en une véritable table de loi du songwriting urbain il y a cinquante ans au surf sur trottoir de Teenage Fanclub en passant par la modestie taillée au silex des parfaitement nommés Pastels.
Pour le concret, on a longtemps parlé d’un premier EP, maintenant il est attendu fébrilement pour 2018. "She Pulls Me Higher" en est le premier extrait dévoilé.
