With regular play on BBC 6Music and gigs that have included supporting icons such as Wu-Tang Clan and Public Enemy in the UK and on the continent in France and Germany to name a few, Whirlwind D has grown his reputation in the last 10 years. Originally signed to the Liberty Grooves label in the early 90s and was the rapper in Solid n Mind. He recorded three 12" singles as part of Solid n Mind. Since relaunching his career around 2010 he has released 4 studio solo albums and a host of singles and EPs. He has worked with many artists including Smoove, Lewis Parker, Farma G, Micall Parknsun, Mr Thing, Phill Most Chill and Oxygen as well as label mates Specifik, Mr Fantastic and Chrome and Illinspired to name a few. He records for B-Line Recordings and AE Productions.  In addition, he presents the Pioneers Hip Hop Show on Kane FM and writes for Record Collector Magazine.
