Singer, Songwriter, Producer and DJ originally signed to "Ninja Tune" Records (UK) before deciding to go independent. Now releases on "Secret Angels" Records (US) and various labels internationally. Discovered in 2012 on a compilation released by Gilles Peterson (Brownswood Recordings UK).

Known for solo works and collaborations with artists like John Cale (The Velvet Underground), Honey Dijon (DJ) and many more. Active in multiple musical worlds but primarily associated with Soul, Trip Hop, Electronic and Indie sounds.

His next album is titled SAMUEL (birth name) and will release on April 3 2026 (birthday).

The Lockerz is a rock & hip-hop bossa nova funk fusion band from San Jose, California. The band – comprised of bass player Azim Alhark, guitarist Ronal Steel, drummer Randy Fard, and lead singer Neda Pourfathi – was formed in Spring 2014 and has been creating original music and gaining local support ever since. Artistically, the Lockerz strive to create a unique, individualized sound through the use of multicultural mediums and experimental methods. Together, each member’s diverse background allows the Lockerz to attain a truly one-of-a-kind sound.

An artist with a story as powerful and compelling as her music, 
Persia was born in Isfahan, Iran and raised in San Jose, CA. An 
"every woman" who is currently a wife, a mother of four 
children a veteran emcee and performer with over 20 years
experience in emceeing and performing under her belt. Her 
lyrical delivery is described as exceptional. Her stage presence, 
beauty and precision all captivating to her ever expanding market. 
Persia is a legend in the South Bay with strong bay area following 
that she has acquired over many years of honing her skill and 
understanding. Persia is poised to release her long awaited 
collection of songs on her debut album "American Me" which 
consists of hard hitting production, high quality guest appearances 
and the sleek, steady stead flow of one of the South Bay's dopest 
emcees. Her versatile flows command the head nods of backpackers, 
clubbers, and gangsta rap listeners alike. 

Although begining her career and spending most of it as solo artist, 
Persia is also one half of the powerhouse duo The Mamaz with her 
partner in rhyme Aima the Dreamer. Persia has rocked many stages in
the Bay Area, as well as performed at, thrown or helped throw well 
over 100 shows and is a well respected lyricist. She has been featured
on tracks with world known DJ BassNectar on his single "Bomb da Blocks."
This track spun a music video off Om Records as well as a featured 
vocalist on his track "Kick it Complex". 

She's featured with the Mamaz on J-Boogie's Mixed Cd (J Boogie's 
Dubtronic Science on the track "Revolution" which also features 
Lyrics Born as well as DJ Vadim's "Talk to Me" remixed by J Boogie. 

Beyond being a dynamic family woman, Persia is married to her long 
time producer and rhyming partner Warren Blackwell. Together known 
as Testostregon, they create music simply for the love of 
Hip Hop. She says, "Because there is no pressure to 'make it' in 
the music industry anymore in our life, our music comes from the 
most loving and creative place. I just want to make great music to 
share with the world. Now that the music industry has changed so much 
over the years, I can travel the world and share my passion online 
and still be able to be the best mother and wife I can be." 

Her musical influences include Black Star, Slaughter House, Busta Rhymes, 
Nas, Jay Z, Old School Lauren Hill, Bahamadia, Queen Latifah, Rage, 
Lil Wayne, Outkast, as well as a host of talented independent Bay Area artists. 
Even with all this, you can tell when listening to her album that you can identify
her style and sound with a very distinct voice which sets her apart from others.
She's distinct in so many different ways, and at the same time has an approach that
is best described as universal. Persia's story alone is remarkably compelling.
With "American Me" Persia has brought a product that is certain to make every
listener a fan.
