Hidden Empire and Channel X go back to back productionwise and set off a joint release with 6 original dancefloorready compositions. Apocalyptic vocals proclaim (This is) 'Not the End' in the analogously entitled track, triggering the release on a dynamic and fast paced tone. With a playful groove laden with descending synths, the piece buzzes along on a backdrop of alternating noise leads. 
'Dinosaurs in Space' evokes a far away land through cavernous soundscapes and metallic rattles, ranking as the series’ most spacious sounding cut. Pairing mechanical subsynths with high pitched bits and blobs, 'Elephants & Ants' plays on contrasting elements as the murky melody unfolds in a steadfast fashion. After mainly focusing on their live performance. 

Channel X return to the studio to dole out a matching set of three aptly crafted arrangements. An amalgamation of shadowy soundframes make up 'Before Midnight', a deep tech exploration complemented by matchingly eerie vocals.
Spirited synths and a boiling bassline are the central tenets of 'Lift off', as the melody rolls out gradually. 'Waves' brings together slices of undulating synths and wobbly sound articulations, all in an upwinding manner. With a groovy vocal sample, the track deftly morphs into a movementinducing frenzy.

Not The End [Full Track]

Joyce Muniz lands on Exploited on 1st August with ‘Cover Me Up’, the single taken from her forthcoming album ‘Made In Vienna’. We’ve got the exclusive play of ANNA’s remix of it above.

The original version features the honeyed vocals of Kat Vinter, but on her remix, Muniz’ fellow Brazilian ANNA turns in a weighty slab of trippy lights-out techno, complete with heavy kicks and rattling percussion.

Speaking about it, she says, “The original is deeper and has a strong focus on the vocals, I wanted to make it more underground, still keeping the deep vibe but with a different kind of energy.”

For our nineteenth Chapter, Atapy leads the charge with the powerful Redub EP. He is joined by three talented horsemen from the label ranks: Javier Orduña, Malbetrieb and Luis Leon.

It's all about quality and not quantity for Atapy, with previous key releases on his own Cimelde label, Bedrock and Get Physical.

‘Redub’ is a powerful club cut that builds around heavy, dubby Detroit stabs bound to hit home on the dancefloor. Meanwhile, bonus edit ‘Redub to Space’ takes the original and softens it with a cosmic edge.

New Chapter 24 family member Javier Orduna (also a member of the Jeudi, Culprit, and Moda Black clans) applies a bombastic touch with driving arps and interweaving synth lines.

The release is rounded off by two quality turns towards techno from the label cavalry. 

First, Malbetrieb delivers an epic, melodic reinterpretation. Finally, Luis Leon steps up with a sophisticated, killer rerub that bears listening to time and again.

The divine apocalypse? Maybe not, but with Atapy at the helm, these outriders are certainly bent on cosmic musical conquest.

Underground Audio is excited to take a step back in time to the days of disco with the brand new EP ‘1970s’ by Tolstoi & Andsan. Making their debut on the label, the duo hailing from Cologne, Germany bring two seriously groovy originals that share very prominent funk and disco influences throughout. 

The EP opens  with ‘Grind’ and laces thick, funky grooves with suspenseful buildups and big drops, making it ideal for peak-time application. The track is complimented further with a very hypnotic remix by the very talented Francisco Allendes. Taking a stripped back and percussive approach, his remix is filled with layers of fast yet tense build-ups, polished to perfection with a smooth, resonating bassline underneath. 

Continuing in similar form with  ‘Back Then’, and immediately the fast-moving, heavily funk inspired bassline sets the mood of a classic groovy track. Addition of catchy vocal snaps and a well crafted drum beat keep the track pushing and grooving.

August marks Swiss duo Animal Trainer’s debut full release on Berlin’s mobilee with a new EP entitled ‘Yumala’.
When not running their club Hive in Zurich, Animal Trainer aka Adrian Flavor and Samy Jackson have had a string of impressive releases on renowned labels such as My Favourite Robot, Stil Vor Talent and Katermukke, not to mention their own imprint Hive Audio. Their fusion of tech-driven, slow-rave club anthems and impassioned, vocal led house has earned them hard-won recognition across Europe’s club circuit.

Kicking off with the energy-fuelled ‘Yumala’ that demonstrates Animal Trainer’s trademark slow- rave style, the cut blends together punchy bass stabs and murky synth drones building up to powerful chord streaks, heightened further by patterned sonic notes and chattering hi-hats. ‘Function None’ then provides an equally club-driven, energetic number yet with darker tones dominated by ominous, hypnotic vocals to round off the package in a thoroughly compelling style.

The next volume of one our most anticipated compilations, Full Body Workout is on its way as we speak. As we’re putting the final touches, we’ve decided to let a few tracks out of the bag in anticipation. The first track from Holland’s Jasper de Vries, AKA JSPR. ‘Another Day’ plays its bouncy tones on a thick beat as the ambience builds. Characterized by a unique synthline, the track is difficult to pinpoint in terms of genre, but it moves - and that’s what we’re after. Next we’ve got another version of an old classic, DJ Le Roi Reworks DJ T’s remix of Roland Clark’s ‘I Get Deep’. This version shows off the groovy side of the track, leaving the vocals on the floor and letting the music do the talking while we do the dancing. The third and final track of this sampler EP is from duo Kotelett & Zadak. Known for their heavy bass and deep vibe, the duo aren’t here to disappoint. ‘Your Secret’ opens a deep tech world and throws a bit of acid in the mix, creating an ultra-driving techno track that will absolutely get the floor sweating.

Mat Chiavaroli, one of your main artists who is getting stronger and stronger, opens this jubilee release with upbuilding powerful tune, just the tune the get Quintessentials 50 started! Great to see profilic dutch producer Nachtbraker (Heist, Quartet Series) on the label too. We love his style and he will soon be as popular as Ajax Amsterdam! His subtle and dirty “Bronco” fits in perfectly. The definitive club tune that grooves and grooves and grooves comes from Ponty Mython (Dirt Crew). Alexandr is a cool guy and this is defo a cool tune. Last but not least is Soul of Hex (Freerange, Vicario). Our mexican friend is going very raw this time. Yes, why not call it electronic body music (remember?)! As we are gentlemen, we added a Quintessentials sticker in the vinyl edition. Go and get it!

We are glad to present young Italian pair Koko & Nicolo Borgi's deeper-than-deep contribution 'Nor Gri'. The track floats in a mystic haze, surrounded by organic drips and downy green folds, as its slow-paced pads and mineral drums crystallise around a rather zestful groove. The choir of children coming in after the third minute instantly reminisces of Ricardo Villalobos' 'Enfants (Chants)', a kinship which we're sure the two of them should be very much proud of.

First appearing on Watergate with a phenomenal remix of Ruede Hagelstein's 'Soul Dynamic' last year, we are more than overzealous to announce Fur Coat's reappearance with their debut EP 'Interstellar'. 

Known for their deep and hypnotic yet fiercely engaging sound of dramatic melodies and formidable low end, the duo paint a vivid display of emotional dance floor scenarios in two exquisitely crafted tracks. 'Interstellar' takes off with heavy, pulsating drums and long blasts of sub bass as an enchanting exhibit of melodic wash over open spaces. The flip side sees the two join forces with the sultry voice of Delhia de France on 'Desire Of Mine' creating a deeply emotional tune that pulses with climactic fever. Returning the favor for last year's remix, Ruede expertly twists the original 'Desire Of Mine' with his unique brushstroke of sweltering organic percussion and infectious atmospheres ideal for a multitude of events.
