Electric Dandelion first caught our attention while compiling The Bloom Series compilations in 2013, his tune Bass Tribe made his debut strong, holding out at #29 on the Addictech.com top downloads of 2013. More recently he was referred to on audioimpactentertainment.com as one of the standout acts of Southern California’s Lucidity Festival.

Metamorphosis is his debut full length release and truly reflects an ageless festival sound, rooted in Dub influences throughout and switching up beats with Trap nuances into Psychedelic Dub and even deeper Dubstep. The instrumentation is combination of analog and digital sounds and if this is one of the futures of festival Dub music then we are heading to good places.

Electric Dandelion is a multi instrumental artist who has been producing electronic music for the past 15 years. He combines solfeggio healing frequencies with his own original music to create a unique sound filled with  unforgettable soundscapes and heavy basslines. Electric Dandelion combines organic and electronic elements to create a mood that takes the listener on an extraordinary journey into unchartered musical wave forms. Electric Dandelion's  music has been selected for compilations, documentaries, commercials and short films such as The Bloom Series Vol 1: Fundamental Frequencies (Muti Music), Ascension(Red Bull), Adidas and Macy's. Electric Dandelion currently has a residency with BurnLA.

Earlier this year Desert Dwellers released their most diverse album in the duo's long career. The Great Mystery was the first full length collaborative project between the main founders Amani Friend and Treavor Moontribe, and featured a wide range of styles and aesthetics from downtempo and psychedelic dub to tribal trance to exotic house and techno flavors.

To celebrate the special release, Desert Dwellers have curated an ambitious two-part remix album full of contributions from some of the brightest luminaries and rising talents across the underground electronic music landscape. The Great Mystery Remixes Part 1 is slated for a September 21st release, and features sonic reinterpretations from Gaudi, Liquid Stranger, Hibernation, An-ten-nae, Kaminanda, AtYya, Tribone, Twin Shape, Land Switcher, Drumspyder, and Govinda. The second part will be released in late October with contributions from Emancipator, Whitebear, Sixis, Mystral, Supersillyus, Halfred, Master Minded, and many others. With artists from across the globe and musical genres, these carefully crafting renditions of Desert Dwellers' The Great Mystery are a potent combination of immersive soundscapes that pay a loving tribute to the original compositions.

Over three previous studio albums, pianist/sound-sculptor/songwriter Marco Benevento has set forth a vision for instrumental music that connects the dots between Explosions In The Sky and Tortoise on one side, Brian Eno and Brad Mehldau on the other. On his fourth studio recording, TigerFace, the 34-year old artist takes the next step in this evolution. Benevento paints his songs in an myriad of sonic colors, shimmering in acoustic piano, synths and analog keyboards. The tunes themselves conceptualized from seemingly every wisp of melody, cadence and hook that's ever tickled his ear. The album was recorded and mixed by Tom Biller (Silversun Pickups, Fiona Apple) and Bryce Goggin (Pavement, Akron/Family), while Benevento invited a stellar cast of musicians to help him capture his ideas, including drummers Matt Chamberlain (Brad Mehldau, Pearl Jam), John McEntire (Tortoise, The Sea & The Cake) and Andrew Barr (The Barr Brothers), bassists Dave Dreiwitz (Ween), Reed Mathis (Tea Leaf Green) and Mike Gordon (Phish), violinist Ali Helnwein (Traction Avenue Chamber Orchestra) and saxophonist Stuart Bogie (Antibalas, Superhuman Happiness). For the first time on record he uses vocals, inviting Kalmia Traver (Rubblebucket) to sing on the infectious dance rock rave-up "Limbs Of A Pine" and the pastoral psych rock meditation "This Is How It Goes." Other standouts include the angelic Arcade Fire meets The Flaming Lips anthem "Eagle Rock," the soaring garage psychedelia of "Going West,"  the piano riff rock jaunt "Escape Horse," and the happily lilting "Fireworks," which bounces along like a long lost Italian folk song beamed down to him by ancestors from his father's homeland. As anybody who's seen Benevento perform live can attest, the pianist--eyes closed, smile wide across his face, fingers free-flowing across the keys--is in ongoing reception to the muse. TigerFace, indeed, is the commitment to this idea, a record that rides the yes wave and in the process becomes a soundtrack for all fellow travelers chasing the horizon.

Fireworks | Marco Benevento

Medicina is a song about deep journies… This sample was provided by an artist in Pucallpa who is the son of a powerful shamanic matriarch of the tribe and has inherited her medicine ways, often painting the visions he is gifted from the plant medicine.  The sample was collected by Critical Beats as part of a collection of recordings aimed at preserving the magic of the Amazon.
In "Medicina", he is speaking specifically about the journey into the song of Ayahuasca. The journey brings you inside yourself. So, close your eyes and embark on a voyage of self discovery. Feel the words speaking of ancient wisdom… Words that transcend language. You don’t need to understand the magic to feel its power. Que le vaya bien..
