Junes next guest on MMD, is by far my favourite duo. The German powerhouse Ordinary Subject.

Their music has stood the test of time in the Deep-Tech scene, and I always fall back to their work when constructing my sets. With their record label REDUCED, they shaped the sound and scene in their vision of deep and groovy music, and what a vision it is.

It is my utmost honour to feature some of the biggest Deep-Tech prodigies that is Ordinary Subject.

BIO:

Two creative minds united in one thing - finding the perfect groove. This is the best way to describe the duo ordinary subject aka Christian and Alexander. When their paths crossed in 2010, it quickly became clear that this combination had potential. This proved to be true in numerous gigs in Germany and across Europe as well as countless studio sessions.

This many years of experience in playing at various clubs and festivals results in a fine feeling for the dance floor. Their current sets are characterized by concise baseline grooves and percussive elements. Which over the years has also become their signature sound. 

To express their own vision of deep and groovy music, they founded the label REDUCED records in 2013. REDUCED records is not only platform for Ordinary Subject to release their own music, it’s also a creative space for like - minded artist. 

Over the years they released on labels like: Defected, MBF, Yoruba Grooves, Bondage Music, Baile Musik, Krad records, Frieda Musik and numerous others.

Darker Than White is a Johannesburg based Artist. His sound was formed through years of relentless passion within the underground scene to draw him towards Deep tech, darker Minimal Dub music with a hint of Minimal Techno.
 
His mission strives towards creating unique sounds that include deep, dark and heavy baseline driven music along with hard claps, off beat percussions and symphonic melodies. His addiction to the pure and raw power of music influences his daily life and because of this he provides a weekly podcast collective to showcase the art that is underground music.
 
Darker than White has had the privilege to play at some of the most prestigious night clubs, festivals and events. He has been featured on line-ups at Truth Night Club, El Momento SA, Earth dance JHB, Twilight Open Air Festival & Crater Gathering to name a few. His Podcasts have been released on various international platforms, Ibiza Live Radio (Ibiza – Spain) & Global sessions with Confetti Digital (Germany).

as usual. is a Berlin-based imprint for electronic music, which basically began as a weekly event series in 2013. Four years later, the music label as usual.music was launched and concentrates on releasing a deeply groovin' cutting-edge sound in various facets, delivered by some fabulous artists of the labels surrounding, as well as several other renowned acts with a contemporary sense for underground and club music.

as usual.music is focused on Techhouse and Minimal, with influences of multiform ranges in Techno and House music, such as Deeptech/Deephouse. Deeply groovin' cutting-edge sounds and crispy tight rhythms are basic to what makes it shakin' or bangin' – consequently, the demanding nature of our music is fundamentally made for having maximum aesthetics to please the dancefloors. With no fear to break the rules at some point. It's represented by some of the most interesting artists in the underground music and club scene. We love to connect diverse aspects of creativity to having an intense excitement in projects and concepts. The result is a highly inspiring and perceptive state of quality dance music. Taking the challenge of the ongoing evolution in contemporary music industries and feeling the impulses of tomorrow are implanted genes of our beings.

Welcome to the world of Vek Neirbo. It's 5am in a basement filled with sweaty dancers. The room is completely dark, only lit by a faint red glow from LCD lights around the perimeter. Cigarette smoke and fog fill the room, while a massive Danley sound system pulsates eccentric and bass-heavy grooves through your body. You suddenly realize that the microdose of mushrooms you took earlier may not have been micro at all, as the moving human bodies surrounding you suddenly transform into dancing entities of light and love, while you become one with the music and the universe.

The sun begins creeping through the basement windows slowly as the music shifts with the energetic pulses of the sun, slowly peeking it's warmth onto a degenerate's playground.

Is the party over? Hell no, it's only just begun. :)

BIO:
Adis Hotic (aka Duky) was born in Bosanski Novi, Bosnia & Hercegovina on January 19, 1989. He has been very passionate about music his whole life. Growing up in the 90's, Duky loved listening to Hip-Hop. Hearing drums, rhythms, basslines, and deep lyrics by artists like Wu-Tang, Mos Def, Nas, Gangstarr, and Mobb Deep greatly influenced Duky to start working on his own music. At age 13 he was introduced to Fruity Loops and then started working on his own hip-hop instrumentals.

As time passed, electronic music was exposed to him at a local music festival, DEMF, in Detroit, MI. Immediately  felling in love with it; started producing house music instead of hip-hop. Duky quickly gained respect and support with his remix of "Morning Cigarette" by major players in the game such as tINI, Enzo Siragusa, Chris Lattner, Richie Hawtin, and Marco Carola. Each track Duky produces is a reflection of his emotions at that specific point in his life along with great passion, joy, and fondness for music. His style consists of groovy basslines, hip-hop influenced rhythms and percussions, deep abstracts sounds, and a touch of swing. Duky devotes countless hours in the studio on each track he produces, believing that quality and self-satisfaction of each tune is much more important than the quantity of tracks released. 

In August 2011, Duky launched his own vinyl/digital label, Deep Tech Records, which has been successfully releasing some of the finest music available on today's market. The label includes releases by talented and prestigious artists like Miro Pajic, Randall M, Chad Andrew, Jun Akimoto, Ittetsu, Brett Jacobs, Butane, Someone Else, Loquace, Bodeler, Medeew & Chicks Luv Us, and various other highly respected musicians. Deep Tech Records has been climbing the top 100 charts on Beatport and many other respected online music stores, with almost every single release since the label has launched. Today Duky strives to maintain the high quality music on his label, gigs/shows, and most importantly his own productions.
