"I made this while dotting about Asia across multiple studios, cafes & hotel rooms so I'm happy with how it came together. Think I've managed to take the track into a different, darker space using mostly just the original stems, heavily processed to create a new sound palette while keeping it in the same world as the original. Been a fan of Or:la since the UK Lonely release which I fully rinsed when it came out so it's great to be asked to get on the remix duties" ~ @yushh

'In Pursuit of Pleasure' is a curation of music comprised of trans, non-binary, queer and LGBTQIA+ allies in the music community - with an emphasis around the more leftfield side of electronic and experimental music, released by fabric, the nightclub and record label based in East London. Of the proceeds from the V/A there will be a donation to the LGBTQIA+ charity Rainbow Migration - a charity for those who seek asylum due to their sexual orientation where their welfare maybe at risk.

Real Girl is the moniker of Minneapolis based disc jockey Josie Simon, a high energy selector whose sets span numerous genres and styles. Josie began deejaying in 2018 when she was a student at Oberlin College, influenced in part by the In Training parties in nearby Cleveland. She moved back to Minnesota at the start of 2020 and when the lockdowns started to lift she dove into the existing underground music scenes, eager to bring her wild energy to dance floors across the Twin Cities. She is currently a resident DJ of St. Paul based funk party Jumpsuit and a member of fledgling DJ collective Pivot.
