뷰티풀 디스코, 비트테입 [INYURDREEMS]의 선 공개 트랙 “HalfRmmrdDreems (DAYDREEMS)” 공개

수퍼프릭 레코즈(SuperFreak Records) 소속의 비트메이커 뷰티풀 디스코(Beautiful Disco 혹은 btful disco)가 새로운 트랙 “HalfRmmrdDreems (DAYDREEM)”과 비디오를 공개했다. 그는 2013년 발표한 데뷔 EP [Jelly Powder] 이후 인터넷을 통해 다수 트랙을 공개하고 앤덥(Andup), 던 말릭(Don Malik), 지심(Jisim) 등 힙합 아티스트의 작품에 참여하며 꾸준히 움직여왔다.

그가 사운드클라우드를 통해 새로이 내놓은 “HalfRmmrdDreems (DAYDREEMS)”는 발매를 앞둔 비트테입 [INYURDREEMS]의 수록 트랙 중 하나다. 샘플링 작법을 기반으로 하는 뷰티풀 디스코답게 이번에도 그는 예쁜 색채의 70년대 트랙을 샘플로 곡을 작업했다. 더불어 “HalfRmmrdDreems (DAY DREEM)”을 통해 뷰티풀 디스코는 몽환적인 분위기가 그득한 꿈을 연출하고자 했다.

트랙과 함께 공개된, 힙합 씬에서 가장 뜨거운 비디오 디렉터 중 한 명인 매드신(Madscene)이 에디팅한 비디오는 “HalfRmmrdDreems (DAYDREEMS)”가 가진 정체성과 곡의 색깔을 잘 담아낸다. 비디오가 70, 80년대 광고를 소스로 하고, 몽롱함이 엿보이는 일부 구간에서 마치 우주여행을 하는듯한 그래픽을 적절히 활용하는데서 알 수 있다. 

음악과 비주얼의 조화가 돋보이는 “HalfRmmrdDreems”. 뷰티풀 디스코가 곧 선보일 [INYURDREEM]을 기대하게 한다.
