Based in Brooklyn, USA, White Owl Records is a vinyl and digital label that specialises in live and machine-driven techno from its amazing underground community.

Carlos Aguilar, also known as Concrete Husband, is back for the second time on White Owl. He is a fascinating musician with a strong background in classical music who has now made techno his home. In addition to being a producer, he is a popular DJ who frequently performs at popular NYC venues, and this year, he also went on tour in Europe.

'Piel' is an album journey that reflects the artist's twin sides; his ambient and techno works have oddly comparable themes. Concrete Husband displays his two styles side by side in this lengthy project. Two amazing remixes by techno titans TWR72 and 1morning top off a fiery flute introduction that plunges into a flood of techno fury. Overall, Concrete Husband skilfully defies genre to elevate us from introverted lows to extroverted highs.

For this DT:Premiere we selected "Arched Back" with a stuttering beat made up of delayed kick patterns that are played beneath dramatic stripped-down passages and haunting intensity.
