His passion for music was born in the bustling streets of Paris. In 1995, he took his first steps as a bassist in a pop-rock band, thus embarking on a musical journey that continues to diversify. Inspired by pop, soul, electronic music, hip-hop, and the emblematic compositions of Gustav Mahler, Ludwig Goransson, Hans Zimmer, and Jongnic Bontemps, Utanonomba creates music that is a true melting pot of cultures and eras.

Over the years, he has ventured beyond the hip-hop and pop-rock scenes, collaborating on film, documentary, and animation projects. For Utanonomba, music is not just an accompaniment but a silent narrator that amplifies visual stories with emotion and depth.

From bassist to multi-instrumentalist, his artistic transformation is impressive. His roots in pop, soul, and hip-hop music have been a springboard to more complex and sophisticated compositions, enhanced by his degree in musicology and his MFA in media composition.
