Biography:
Woozle, based in Germany, started DJing in 2014 and is known for her unique and acidic style of music. She's proud to be part of the @zion-604-records family and she is also Head of @acidvibes-music .

Besides Progressive, Psytrance and Nightpsy - Woozle has also a particular fondness for old&new-school Acid- & Goa-Trance.

Her sets typically range from 136 to 150 BPM, and she enjoys playing a variety of different styles depending on the time of day and the vibe of the event. 
Lately she found out about her love vor Acid-Tekk/Acid-Core! (So she has extended her BPM Range to 136-190BPM)

One consistent rule for her DJ sets is that nearly every song she plays, must have the iconic 303-Acid sound in it. (At least a bit!)

In 2020, Woozle faced some serious health issues, which forced her to take a break from her DJing career. 
However, she began making a gradual comeback in 2023, eager to continue sharing her passion. 

Throughout her career, Woozle has had the opportunity to perform on stages alongside acts such as Ace Ventura, On3, Vini Vici, U-Recken, Liquid Soul, and many others. 
Her performances have taken her to various locations, all around Germany and also to countries like Malta, Switzerland, Belgium, Hungary, and more.

Her stage name, "Woozle", is a playful adaptation of the German word "wuseln" (which means "to scurry/bustle around") reflecting her energetic and captivating stage presence, which never fails to provide positive amazement and a lot of fun on the dance floor.

Born in 1969 in Edinburgh, and completing a Phd in music at the University of Edinburgh in 2002, Daniel Williams has over twenty years experience working with sound and music in the theatre. Earlier education included studying English literature at the University of Oxford. He has lived in Dresden since 2009. 

Between 2004 and 2016, he worked composing music, designing and operating sound with Theatre Derevo, a Russian physical company, touring all over the world with a variety of award-winning shows, including ‘Ketzal’, ‘Harlekin’, and ‘Mephisto Walz’. His work with Derevo included music that was very wide ranging in content and expression, including a very important element of improvisation both in the devising stage and in performance.

In the last ten years, he has worked with a number of theatre companies in Dresden, including The Guts Company, JuWie Dance Company, theatrale subversion, and Freaks und Fremde.

Working with Freaks und Fremde concentrating on music for figurative and object based theatre, he has toured extensively all over Europe and in South America with a wide variety of performances for which he has written and performed music. Recent performances include ‘Der Bau’, ‘Out of Service’ and ‘Blut an der Hals der Katze’. In these last three performances he developed a way of making theatre soundtracks in a form much more like film soundtracks, in which there is music throughout the performance in conjunction with text and other sounds. 

In addition, he worked with Heiki Ikkola on a series of improvisation evenings, co-creating two strands of performance, Freakstadt, evenings of mixed theatre performances, and Blind Date, evenings of pure improvisation, spontaneously pairing a musician and a dancer for a group of short performances. 

As a member of Das Gegenteil, he has been involved in many workshops and performances over the last seven or so years. Recent work has included a series of performances, ‘Ropeberry’ with Coco Katsura, appearing a number of times at MaHalla in Berlin, ‘Canvassing for Utopia’, at ACUD in Berlin, and ‘Off-Time-Values’, with Sainkho Namchylak, studioDB in Berlin. He also made music in 2022 for a series of workshops in Athens, entitled Xenobiology. Music from these workshops appeared on the album ‘Athens Notes’ (see below for a Bandcamp link). Most of the work with Das Gegenteil is based around a modern fusion of Butoh and techno, traditions of mime and dance expression with electronic music. Improvisation is at the very core of this work, so that his music feels more like another dancer than a wall of sound between audience and dancer.

As a director, he made his debut in 2021 at TrashEra in Berlin, performing SLOGANS, a dance and music theatre piece. Later performances of SLOGANS appeared at ACUD and MaHalla in Berlin. In this work, he has been seeking to increase a sense of ritual in theatre, merging minimal text, dance and rhythmical experimentation to make a new kind of theatrical world in which ideas and images are hinted at and proposed at a distance. SLOGANS makes questions into statements and provocations, teasing a variety of meanings out for the audience. In a sense, SLOGANS attempts to put an explanation of the show - as if from a post show discussion - into the show itself. These explanations get subjected to the same processes as everything else in the show, and in the same way, the explanations of the show do not stand outside the show.

He makes live music for a weekly dance class, ‘TanzLust for Frauen’ at the JKS in Dresden, held by dancer and choreographer Yamile Navarro.

During the COVID pandemic, he worked closely with the artist Anna Steward, producing an app and film entitled ‘Zooomworld’, available from Google Play and the App Store.

A number of albums have appeared on the net label phonocake, including a forthcoming album ‘Zooomworld’.

Past appearances as a musician have included an installation for Tonlagen in 2010, two STFU appearances in 2011 and 2014, two appearances at DAVE festivals in 2014 and at ‘Beyond the Club’ in 2015.

Recent performances include a concert of a specially composed piece ‘Water Music’ for the opening of the Winterbühne in Bad Muskau, and live music for ‘Uber die Realität alle Dinge’, with Valentin Tzsin and Pavel Semchenko, performed in Dresden. A Dresden premier of SLOGANS which will appear at the Kunstsalon in Dresden in April 2023. Finally, in September 2023, ‘Even the Repeated Act’, a three part evening of music and dance theatre will appear at Sociataetstheater in Dresden.

2024 will see his long awaited collaboration with Russian director Maxim Didenko with a performance based on Kafka’s ‘Das Schloss’, to appear at the Staatsschauspiel in Dresden in spring of that year.
