track 2 from the album "B Sides, Alternates and Other Songs" ......... a collection of 10 songs written or recorded during the making of my "For the Stars" album in 2019 but didn't make the album.......releasing one song monthly thru October 2020!

"Ode To Charles" is a dedication to my good friends who lost their son-in-law a year ago. He left behind a young wife and daughter. I wrote this song within hours of talking to my friend and hearing the sad news. I never meant to release it as I felt it was just too personal. As one year approached I changed my my mind, hoped it would give my friends and family some comfort so it became an "other song" for this album.

In these times of being locked in and apart from loved ones and friends, thought I'd write a song for those who hold a special place in our hearts. 
I want to express my Love for my wife for being here with me through these tough times.

However I've decided to put a bit more time into playing acoustic guitar again and started with a piece I've learned quite a long time ago when I still went to school. Especially left-hand-technique is still lacking but oh my is it fun to delve into that timbre again. Defenitely gonna use it more in the future.
