Following on from the success of their debut release from offshoot vinyl label TDR LTD @tropicaldiscorecords offshoot  Volume 2 in the series of ‘Collectors Edition 12”s is just about to land. Again this hot 12” is a limited press of 350 copies on heavyweight 180gr vinyl packed in kraft outer covers and black inners and with some seriously nice little added extras it's most definitely a collectors piece.

After establishing club nights in Liverpool and strengthening the brand with an eclectic mix of consecutive house, electronic and nu-disco releases from various artists, Duo-Tone expand beyond their label/event format to present new tracks under the name of Duo-Tone Productions.

Multiple featuring releases with northern artists have created a lot of interest from DJ’s, audience and taste makers. Recent track from Duo-Tone Productions feat. Gazelle ‘Keep On Moving’ hit the UK Music Week Club Charts Top 10, further releases featuring Rakeem have garnered radio play on BBC Introducing along with Remixes from Andy Manning, Nightlapse and Josh Hunter.

Having featured Tori Cross on an early downtempo track Duo-Tone asked her back for this big summer vibe tune which hopefully will be an anthem for Sunsets and Sunrises this summer. Tori is an upcoming contemporary soul singer based in Liverpool and has provided backing vocals for local artists XamVolo and Galactic Funk Militia at festivals and various gigs as well as prestigious awards such as LIMF. Tori will be performing at an upcoming BBC introducing Summer Festival Showcase.

Duo-Tone Productions recently reunited with Sense of Sound Singers to deliver the choir’s first original single ‘Time and Time Again’. Now, the track has been given a club ready remix from Lazy Legs!

After establishing club nights in Liverpool, Duo-Tone then went on to strengthen the brand with an eclectic mix of consecutive House, Electronic and Nu-Disco releases. Recent singles came from the likes of KOVA (which hit the Upfront Club Charts Top 10) and Josh Hunter (which has received extensive support from Radio 1 and KISS FM). They have now expanded beyond their label/event format to present their own tracks, collaborating with the best new talent, under the name of Duo-Tone Productions.

Sense of Sound Singers previously collaborated with Duo-Tone Productions to reinvent the Aly-Us classic ‘Follow Me’. The track was later remixed by Swedish beat-master OPOLOPO, landing a Top 10 position in the UK Music Week Club Charts and earning a place on the ‘Take Me To Church’ compilation from Midnight Riot Records. This time however, they have been allowed to fully express their creativity and help concoct this fully original track flavoured with Disco rhythms.

Sense of Sound Singers is an award winning collective of phenomenal vocalists, renowned for delighting and thrilling audiences locally, nationally and internationally. Their incredible talent has been recognised across the UK and beyond, leading them to become the resident singers for Cream Classical and perform backing vocals for many big names. According to the choir’s creative dynamo, Jennifer John, the new single is packed with “Feel-good Disco vibes” which is exactly “what Sense of Sound love to do”. Over the past 12 months they have continued to grow and expand on all fronts.

‘Time and Time Again’ utilises the dynamic skill sets of both Duo-Tone Productions and Sense of Sound Singers, pairing their complementary sounds to create a unique Dance blend. The deep, suspending intro dives into a captivating beat that acts as a platform for the choir to show their quality. The upbeat vibes and heartfelt lyrics tap into the philosophies of the vocal collective and show their tremendous power once again. After the success of their previous collaboration, this track looks set to sail even higher.

After earning a Top 15 in the Upfront Club Charts with their latest single ‘Time and Time Again’, Duo-Tone Productions have returned with a brand new track ‘Can’t Get Enough’ featuring the soulful vocals of Tori Cross. 

Liverpool based record label Duo-Tone initially made a name for themselves with a series of club nights in the city before going on to strengthen the brand with an eclectic mix of House, Electronic and Nu-Disco releases. Recent singles came from the likes of KOVA (which hit the Upfront Club Charts Top 10) and Josh Hunter (which has received extensive support from Radio 1 and KISS FM). They have now expanded beyond their label/event format to present their own tracks, collaborating with the best new vocal talent, under the name of Duo-Tone Productions. 

Initially hailing from Birmingham, Singer-Songwriter Tori Cross has developed her craft in Liverpool, performing every year at LIMF and more recently for Liverpool Digital Music Festival during lockdown. She has made a name for herself with her socially active nature and distinctive soulful voice that draws on influences from the likes of Ella Fitzgerald and Lianne La Havas. 

Her latest solo release ‘Woman’ is a powerful gospel-influenced track with a strong message of female empowerment and has gained consistent praise from Dave Monks on BBC Radio Merseyside and BBC Radio 6. This is not the first time that Duo-Tone have lended the vocal talents of Tori Cross, having previously collaborated on the summer dance anthem ‘Sunrise’.  Now, she has teamed up with the label once again to create this new smooth, Dance single.

‘Can’t Get Enough’ is the perfect late night summer soundtrack, packed full of feel-good vibes best enjoyed under ready for the Ibiza sunset. The song blends the soothing dance rhythms of Duo-Tone Productions with the uplifting spirit of Tori Cross. Lyrically, the song captures the escapism music can provide, allowing you to lose yourself in the moment. Having been fully written and recorded in lockdown, it also highlights the emotions the country has gone through during the pandemic and the surreal dream-like state that is our post-lockdown reality.

Although the summer beat is infectious, it is the strong, empowering vocals that give this new single its overwhelming character. As friends and family start to rejoin after months of lockdown ‘Can’t Get Enough’ is the ideal track to bring people together and celebrate the return to normal life.

Through the Night ( ft Amanda Thomsen ) is the new pop anthem from Singer-songwriter Rudi . The new single will be released via Duo-Tone accompanied by two remixes courtesy of Indie-Dance trio Patawawa and the label’s production house, Duo-Tone Productions .Described by Nusic as “suave, soulful and charismatic” , Rudi is a Singer, Songwriter, Producer, DJ & multi-instrumentalist based in the UK. His 2019 debut EP ‘ Diamond ’ is an “unmistakable invitation to the dance floor: nostalgic but feeling anything but dated” (Leftlion magazine) . Luscious synths, killer drums and tantalising hooks are signatures of Rudi's sound. He has performed live from intimate settings to large venues such as Nottingham's Rock City , festivals around Europe & BBC One Television . With the release of this new track, Rudi is showcasing his versatility and growing maturity as an artist.

‘Through The Night’ is a unique concoction that blends the dynamic vocals of Scandinavian songstress Amanda Thomsen with Rudi’s fresh, disco grooves to create an infectious pop banger. Written by the pair in Italy, the track celebrates spontaneity. The need for us to escape everyday life and have fun is a common theme in Rudi's writing, perhaps ever more prevalent in today's world. The Kaytranda-esque electronic dance elements are juxtaposed with live sax and guitar, creating a unique platform for Thomsen's stunning vocal. Remixes from Patawawa and Duo-Tone Productions make the release even more enticing.

Electronic trio Patawawa come from the quiet town of Matlock , but their music is anything but. With glittered guitar riffs and basslines that bite the three-piece have crafted a sound that stays true to the neon roots of funk and disco, but dress it with an infectious cheekiness. Their remix of ‘Through The Night’ takes the catchy pop hooks and surrounds them with their own Indie-electro fusion.
