Following on from the success of their debut release from offshoot vinyl label TDR LTD @tropicaldiscorecords offshoot  Volume 2 in the series of ‘Collectors Edition 12”s is just about to land. Again this hot 12” is a limited press of 350 copies on heavyweight 180gr vinyl packed in kraft outer covers and black inners and with some seriously nice little added extras it's most definitely a collectors piece.

The EP features three brilliant cuts from Paul Johnson, Soul Central and A Touch Of Jazz from the seriously talented Dominic Balchin. All About House is the opening track on the House Tools EP from Lazy Legs.

Lazy Legs is a House producer, writer and DJ based in the North West of England, with an eclectic and wide genre of musical influences. After years of working the nationwide club scene he moved into the studio working under a variety of different alias' and collaborating with a number of different artists and DJs. Now under the name Lazy Legs, he has poured his wealth of experience and creative spark into his first solo EP ‘House Tools’ which will be released via Duo-Tone in May 2021.

He started his career as a house and techno DJ in the North West after falling in love with the club scene at the world famous Bugged Out nights held at Cream Liverpool. After playing various local venues he then went on to play nationwide, eventually holding residencies in the likes of BED in Sheffield, The End in London and Mint Club in Leeds. He also ran and promoted his own nights in his home town of Liverpool, at Le Bateau and The Zanzibar Club.

Mainly focusing on remixes and re-edits he also started providing studio production tuition and ghost writing for DJs in Ibiza. This then led him on to working for House record label Duo-Tone as a mix engineer, writer and remixer as part of their in-house production team Duo-Tone Productions. In this role he earned a top 10 hit in the UK Club Charts with Gazelle’s track ‘Keep on Moving’ in 2019.

Liverpool based record label Duo-Tone initially made a name for themselves with a series of club nights in the city before evolving into the label dynamic with a series of eclectic mix of House, Electronic and Nu-Disco releases. They have now expanded beyond this format and built an in-house production team releasing their own tracks together with their favourite DJs and vocalists under the name of Duo-Tone Productions. Recent collaborations with vocalist Tori Cross, Defected Records’ Glitterbox DJ Natasha Kitty Katt and GRAMMY nominated K-Klass have received consistent Upfront Charts placement and nationwide support from BBC Introducing and more.

After many years of collaboration and ghostwriting, Lazy Legs is now drawing on all his experience and musical knowledge to bring out this debut 4-track EP.

Through the Night ( ft Amanda Thomsen ) is the new pop anthem from Singer-songwriter Rudi . The new single will be released via Duo-Tone accompanied by two remixes courtesy of Indie-Dance trio Patawawa and the label’s production house, Duo-Tone Productions .Described by Nusic as “suave, soulful and charismatic” , Rudi is a Singer, Songwriter, Producer, DJ & multi-instrumentalist based in the UK. His 2019 debut EP ‘ Diamond ’ is an “unmistakable invitation to the dance floor: nostalgic but feeling anything but dated” (Leftlion magazine) . Luscious synths, killer drums and tantalising hooks are signatures of Rudi's sound. He has performed live from intimate settings to large venues such as Nottingham's Rock City , festivals around Europe & BBC One Television . With the release of this new track, Rudi is showcasing his versatility and growing maturity as an artist.

‘Through The Night’ is a unique concoction that blends the dynamic vocals of Scandinavian songstress Amanda Thomsen with Rudi’s fresh, disco grooves to create an infectious pop banger. Written by the pair in Italy, the track celebrates spontaneity. The need for us to escape everyday life and have fun is a common theme in Rudi's writing, perhaps ever more prevalent in today's world. The Kaytranda-esque electronic dance elements are juxtaposed with live sax and guitar, creating a unique platform for Thomsen's stunning vocal. Remixes from Patawawa and Duo-Tone Productions make the release even more enticing.

Electronic trio Patawawa come from the quiet town of Matlock , but their music is anything but. With glittered guitar riffs and basslines that bite the three-piece have crafted a sound that stays true to the neon roots of funk and disco, but dress it with an infectious cheekiness. Their remix of ‘Through The Night’ takes the catchy pop hooks and surrounds them with their own Indie-electro fusion. Having initially made a name for themselves with a series of Liverpool club nights, Duo-Tone continued to evolve with an eclectic mix of House, Electronic and Nu-Disco releases. They have now expanded beyond their label/event format to present their own tracks, collaborating with their favourite DJs, producers and vocalists under the name of Duo-Tone Productions .

Recent collaborations with Cream Classical choir Sense of Sound Singers , Defected Glitterbox DJ Natasha Kitty and GRAMMY nominated K-Klass have seen them earn consistent Upfront Club Chart placement and nationwide press support from Hed Kandi , BBC Introducing and more. Their remix grabs hold of the track’s Disco tones and amplifies them creating a groove-laden, smooth Disco feel.

With this brand-new single, further collaborations & an EP to follow, Rudi is committed to keeping the party going no matter what is going on in the world.
