Monday Off mainstay Cory James returns for a meditative and shadowy EP that tenderly unfurls with the haunting and melodic "Avila", followed by the subtle psychedelic skittering of "Bubble Nebula". The core motifs of "Bubble Nebula" are then re-worked throughout the wave-like ebb and flow of "Bubble Nebula Eyes Down", and Italy's Ruhig remixes the release's title track into a pounding workout of shifting grooves and tensile atmospherics.

We are excited to present to you Duplicity 031, as we venture back into the realm of deeper techno for the next few episodes, starting off with a winding journey from Sapyr. 

Born in Mostar, Bosnia & Herzegovina, in 1996, Sapyr’s journey starting with a rich background in various music tastes, being introduced to genres such as techno, amongst others from very young age. He immediately fell in love with the sound and the scene after attending a local party, which has spurred him on his path to DJing and introduction into music production. For now Sapyr is focused on the production of mostly experimental, ambient techno and also some darker and harder sounds on the side. He has recently published an EP for New Jersey based label, Obscure Sorrows Records and has more productions down the line later on this year, making the rest of 2020 look bright.

Known for a cerebral approach to music, he demonstrates his ethos that DJing is about creating a moment, often through taking crowds on a hypnotic journey and building energy, with a room as one towards a higher peak. While DJing is his calling, his label also requires the utmost care through each carefully curated offering, slowly and steadily building a catalog greater than most accomplishing the rare feat of forty-three releases and counting.
