Dirty Epic welcomes aboard @bas-mooy for our 118th episode of Amplify Series.

Bas Mooy (1976) has been a driving force in the international techno scene for over twenty
five years. Hailing from Rotterdam, the Netherlands, he has carved out a distinct niche with
his dark, powerful, and uncompromising sound. As a DJ, producer, and label owner, Mooy
continues to shape the future of techno with a fierce dedication to quality and innovation.

For almost twenty years Bas was a member of the Rotterdam underground collective ‘Strictly
Techno’, creators of over a hundred legendary parties since the late nineties. Since the start
of Mord Records the focus shifted towards hosting label nights all over the world, in
legendary clubs such as Berghain (Berlin), Basement (New York), Fold (London), Perron
(Rotterdam) and Tresor (Berlin).

Mooy’s productions have found a home on some of the genre’s most respected labels,
including Mote-Evolver, 47, Pole Group, Perc Trax, Planet Rhythm, and his own imprints,
Mord and Audio Assault. Launched in 2013, Mord quickly became a vital platform for cutting-
edge techno, showcasing both established artists and fresh talent from around the globe.
With its raw, industrial aesthetic and consistently forward-thinking releases, Mord has
solidified its place at the forefront of the underground.

As a performer, Bas Mooy is known for his intense, high-energy DJ sets that span the
spectrum of dark, hypnotic, and driving techno. He has performed at some of the world’s
most renowned clubs and festivals.

Whether in the studio, behind the decks, or curating his label’s next release, Bas Mooy
remains to constantly push the sound forward, while staying true to its underground roots.
With Mord Records turning 12 in 2025, Bas shows no sign of slowing down.

Developer, born Adrian Sandoval, is a pioneering force in the Los Angeles techno scene, with a career spanning over three decades. One of the few active DJ/producers to emerge from LA's underground in the early 1990s, Developer has been instrumental in shaping the West Coast techno movement through his performances, productions, and curatorial efforts.

Today, Developer continues to push the boundaries of techno through his labels, Modularz and Olympian with both platforms showcasing both established and rising talents from across the world.

After many years of explorations to refine his sound, he debuted on Adriana Lopez label Grey Report with the solo EP Structural Cohesion. This debut presented a theme that would guide not only his sound but also his concepts and titles to this current date resulting in his own label and artistic platform: Solitär.With a huge love for details and rhythmic structures his music has evolved into an introspective, futuristic and yet timeless sound. With intricate textures, atmospheres and deep driving rhythms his music is constantly pushing forward contributing to the current modern underground techno scene.Since the debut his output has been steady on well established labels such as Semantica, NON series, Faut Section, Nachtstrom Schallplatten, Soma and Kazerne (Mord).
