New full length album in our digital branch, this time signed by S.E.R.E.S. alter ego of Kike Pravda, who offers 12 fine exercises of advanced and mental techno. Sequence Start is the opener, classic old school NASA samples, abstract textures and ethereal sound design preparing for what comes next. Astro goes straight into action after the introduction. Elastic synth lines and sub heavy basement as starting point soon filled with additional percussive layers and textures sequences. Black Spiral follows, increasing intensity but preserving the elastic nature in the sound palette. Sound elements are wisely administered through the arrangement to create an evolving feeling. In Bending the Light the pressure is released a bit, going into deeper territories, the BPM range decreases and the approach is more mental. The five cut, Meteoroid, returns to busy action with continuous and hypnotic lines fighting against each other over a rolling groove. A merciless exercise. We are in the middle of the sound travel with Time Dilation, a well deserved rest after the previous intensity, returning to mentalism and scifi. Giant Void comes from the darkest frequencies of the spectrum and it’s progressively growing until all elements show up, mutating sequences are expertly arranged in an unpredictable way to keep the tension on the dancefloor as required. Number 8 is Ejecta, minimal and floaty at the same time, ideal to add tension on linear sets or to be used as a tool. Rings of Dust acts as a continuation to the previous track, gummy and textured. Spherical Surface slows down the pace, adds some micro drone action and keeps exploring the elastic and liquid side of mental techno as Tempest does. Closing the sound voyage, the beatles Magnetic Storm serves as an outro with the soundtrack of the unmeasurable universe. A well crafted collection of advanced electronics for those who want to keep it spacey.

When a new talent joins our forces it doesn't always mean that he is a newcomer, that’s is Hugo Rolan’s case. Hailing from the North of Spain he’s always been into techno, since the golden days of the nineties, first as a consumer, then as a dj and now as creator. Many years are behind the inception of this album, he’s been tempted by lots of labels to release his works and we are extremely proud to be the chosen one for his long awaited debut. Along eleven tracks he explores every corner of proper techno, from floating beatless exercises, to abstract broken rhythms or hyponic four to the floor workouts. His sound is sometimes obsessive and repetitive or rugged and abstract … or simply tooley but always timeless. There are definitely solid Birmimgham_ ish roots but also some Detroit influences are perceived in his sound palette, exactly the hybridness we like most here at Warm Up. His repertoire is well balanced style wise, with all tracks embroidered on a pristine sound design and administered on detailed and expertly crafted arrangements. Ciclo Hipnoptico opens with cosmic arpeggios spiced with scifi bleeps on a floaty introduction. Sistema Antigua and Modificación Binaria, use broken rhythms as main percussive sources, Emergencia Icónica and Asistencia Confusa, rely on synth lines without noticeable drums. Distribución Lineal, Anomalía Reversible, Tecnología Futura, Disociación Sonora and Parámetros Orbitales are attemporal sci fi techno pieces of the highest level. Sometimes to be patient is the key to make attemporal music and Hugo Rolán is the perfect example.

"Mokant" comes with two driving, boomy and floor focused original techno tracks. The two tracks are rounded off with a hypnotic break, which appears exclusively on Bandcamp. The two excellent producers "Peryl" and "FLAWS" complete the release with two remixes. "Peryl" focuses on a detailed techno break and "FLAWS" presents his sound with a minimal, atmospheric vibe.
