We can all agree, can't we, that reports of underground dubstep's death were significantly premature? All over the world, and particularly in the US, labels, scenes, nights and new artists are thriving - what's interesting now is not gauging their health but examining their huge variety. Foundation Channel, a label run out of Portland and Detroit by Doug Surreal (aka Modi Bardo) and Satta Don Dada, is case in point: a label that digs deep into roots'n'dub origins with a healthy hip hop and jungle flavour for good measure.
