Grounded podcast number 120 welcomes Jamie Behan from Cork, Ireland. 

Over the past 16 years, Jamie has been an unrelenting figure at the centre of Irish techno and is widely acknowledged as the godfather of the techno scene in his adoptive home city of Cork, as curator and resident DJ at Ireland's longest running techno institution 'Bastardo Electrico' which also later became the name for his record label. 

Despite being known as an out and out techno heavyweight, Behan’s sound stretches across ghetto house and electro. This blend of genres is also projected into his collaborations as Flexure and Cork Bangers, with Stephen Mahoney and DJ Flush respectively.

Being known and respected for his versatile selections, skills and physical power behind the decks with his quick fire mixing and fast paced DJ sets,  this mix doesn't let down...

Having caught our attention with his intriguing background as a pipe organist, Michael's first experiments in electronic music began in NYC in the noise/contemporary music scene for whilst studying at Juilliard.

His passion for music led him deeper and deeper into dark experimental & industrial sounds and of course techno. 

Having moved to Amsterdam to further his studies and with the ever blossoming electronic music scene here, he is ready to unleash his talents playing both DJ and live sets.
