Duran Genc and Aytekin Kurt have been working together for over 10 years releasing dance music records as “Duran & Aytek” and "Duran Genc & Aytekin Kurt" on various labels in the UK, the US, the Netherlands and Germany.

Aytekin Kurt's introduction to house music goes back to 1995 with the release of "Never Gonna Let U Go", a vocal house track produced by Marshall Jefferson. Aytekin wrote and performed the song.

First release of Duran & Aytek was “Monsoon/Housebreaking” on 3 Beat Records (UK). Then came “Come” and "Searching" on Baroque Records (UK). Both tracks featured Aytekin’s vocals and were released with remixes from Evolution and Wrecked Angle. 

Duran's first solo release "Face" was released on Sadie Records (NL) and the two also worked together on the B-Side track “Electribe” With this release came the huge support from the leading DJs of the time in both sides of the Atlantic. 

In 2004, Duran & Aytek released 2 EPs on Deep Records (NL) titled “Futurehope EP” (including “Futurehope” and “Elysium”) and “The Insight EP” (including "First Sight", "Second Sight" and "Catalepsy"). The highly anticipated "First Sight" appeared in the Grammy nominated Creamfields album of Paul Oakenfold. The same year, they were invited to play a live set at the Extrema Outdoor Festival in the Netherlands, which was Duran & Aytek’s first international gig.

A number of releases followed on many labels. 

The duo began releasing house music pieces as Duran Genc & Aytekin Kurt. They began working with George Morel's Groove On Records (US). "No Matter What" (featuring Aytekin's vocals) was the first release including a remix from George Morel himself. 

The fall of 2012 saw the duo releasing "Ordinary Things/Leave Your Cares" on Freeze Dried Records, the British House Guru Grant Nelson's brand new label. The release got huge recognition all over the world.

Recently, they remixed 'Dead End' by Bangana feat. Clarisse Muvemba, coming out on Farplane Records in June 2013. 

Besides all the dance music releases, the duo have been writing, producing and remixing a lot of songs for many great artists in the Turkish and Middle Eastern mainstream market such as Melissa featuring Akon - "Yalli Nassini", Melissa & Dr. Alban - "Tell Me What You Want", Enbe Orkestrası & Aytekin Kurt - "Düşünme Hiç" and "Hancı" are to name but a few. 

Other artists that Aytekin Kurt and Duran Genç have worked with include Engelbert Humperdinck, Elissa, Amr Diab, Sezen Aksu, Sertab Erener, Levent Yüksel, İbrahim Tatlıses, Pınar Aylin, Emel Yalçın, Murat Dalkılç, Mercan, Aşkın Nur Yengi, Enbe Orkestrası and the list goes on…
