Jaise first became acquainted with the sound of drum n bass in the late 90’s, the infamous Torque LP cover art sparking intrigue and creating an instant desire to hear what was in the sleeve. As a 16 year old, the sounds within captured his imagination and this new aural awareness changed the way he saw and felt about music. The precision, feeling and vibe all culminated in an experience that would result in an unquenchable thirst to find more like it. Becoming an avid collector from that point, and having a solid background in traditional music, it was only natural that DJing and production became the next step and until 2006 Jaise immersed himself in the Perth DnB/rave culture, all the while honing his musicianship and technique as a drummer.

At this point, although still having a keen interest in Drum n Bass, Jaise took the direction of playing in various bands which brought vast knowledge and experience including studying composition at the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts, working in the Australian concert touring industry, travelling Australia and the world as a musician and performing extensively both live and in the studio. It was through these recording sessions with world renowned producers that he developed greater knowledge and understanding of studio techniques.  Despite a shift towards band involvement, his passion for Drum n Bass endured, leading him back to production in 2018. 

Subsequently, he embarked on a prolific journey, releasing singles, collaborations, and EPs across diverse labels, culminating in notable recognition from Drum & Bass Arena and Beatport. His musical evolution included a deliberate stylistic change in 2020/21, focusing on a more musical approach and collaborating with industry stalwarts like Ant TC1 and Goldie. This resulted in multiple EPs, with significant releases on Metalheadz. His rise continued in 2022 with acclaimed EPs on METHXX and Rebel Music, further solidifying his status as a prominent figure in Drum & Bass, punctuated by milestones like hosting the 75th Metalheadz Podcast and achieving chart success on Beatport. Jaise's relentless pursuit of creativity establishes him as a respected artist shaping the future of the genre

The sole purpose of this independent observatory spacecraft is to detect new innovative entities, while also transcending the established systems, to assist with its ultimate quest of building a safe space to advance society sonically & metaphysically. 

Throughout each month content is released, from a carefully selected database, containing in-depth observations and interconnected intelligence aimed to explore new mediums of thought and expand the imaginative powers of the human species.

Closing in on half a decade's worth of navigating the cosmos, the main passages of DUSK. | 夕闇 are settling, expect even more extensive explorations into continuous physical & wired experiences in the upcoming years.
