When he's not DJing, he's (probably) snowboarding & working on his street snowboarding event, DIYX Strt Jam, which has taken Innsbruck by storm the last couple of years, with a Helsinki edition coming in March 2023.

For this 90mins mix, he seamlessly meanders through soulful disco, hard funk, hip hop & other unexpected ear nuggets.

Dust Down Records invites Javi Frias, a madrileño disco afficionado & firm favourite of ours. He began collecting and playing records as a young ‘soul boy' at the end of the nineties in his hometown Madrid & you can find his edits & reworks on labels like Street Edits, Tropical Disco Records & Midnight Riot.

In 2017 he started his own label Night Shift Records, devoted to edits and reworks of disco and house. He's part of the mysterious Disco Pocho label too, focused on the soul and funk side of the disco edit.

He's also resident DJ & booker of Discotizer, one of the finest disco, boogie and house parties in Spain (currently at El Sotano), where he has shared the decks with names like Louie Vega, Dave Lee, Danny Krivit, Rahaan, Eddie C, Faze Action, Mr. Mendel, & more.

Cj Cooper Live At Horse Meat Disco 30.04 Part 1

The Black Light Disco was banging on the door of the My House Radio airwaves again - flapping letterboxes and causing a ding-dong with the neighbours.  

Last Monday was the first of the month so that meant Pookie Knights took the controls here in BLD Towers for another dazzling show. 

A rare 'slow-burn' vibe from the off may take you by surprise, but boy does it lay the foundations for a long hot summer. The lads expertly  work through the gears here, with each cheeky tempo rise promising more as we ride into the second hour. 

This is two hours of the Pookies at their best. Sit back, strap in and enjoy the ride.
