October 13, 2017 / 20:46 / 45.417721, 11.880126 / Stazione Ferroviaria- "Ci Scusiamo Per Il Disagio" ("We Apologize For The Inconvenience") / Da tre anni abito a Padova, studiando presso l’Accademia di Belle Arti di Venezia sono anch’io un pendolare sulla tratta che unisce la città del santo alla città lagunare / Con un treno regionale veloce l’attraversata dura 30 minuti scarsi, i due centri distano circa 45km / Viaggio su questa tratta tre o quattro volte a settimana / Spesso e volentieri, quando il treno subisce un guasto lungo la linea e ritarda, la fredda e pacata voce elettronica che esce dagli altoparlanti della stazione recita una frase che, ormai, suona come un’ironica litania per lo sfortunato pendolare: “il treno ha maturato 70 minuti di ritardo, ci scusiamo per il disagio” / Non resta che attendere e far passare il tempo //

For three years I have been commuting between Padua, where I live, and Venice, where I study at the Academy of Fine Arts / With a fast regional train, the 45 km journey takes 30 minutes / I do this trip three to four times a week / On the numerous occasions when the train is delayed due to a breakdown, the cool electronic voice coming out from the station speakers intones the unescapable litany that is the curse of the unlucky commuter: "The train is 70 minutes late, we apologize for the inconvenience” / You just have to wait and let the time pass //
