Super Flu need no introduction, as this pair of melodic maestro's is one of the most influential acts in our modern scene. Whether as founders of the illustrious Monaberry, or through their releases with the likes of Diynamic & Disco Halal.  The duo recently released a remix of Motip White's 'Long Shadow'.  It’s an honor to welcome Super Flu for their Selectors Series debut.

Relocation across the ocean into England in the early 90’s Tony Humphries immediately gain the respect of the house music abroad by acquiring a residency at the already famous Ministry Of Sound. In the meantime his mixes were already taking the tour of every major radio station from Kiss FM to Ministry Of Sound Radio where his residency lasted for four years. The end of the 90’s era and the beginning on to 00’s see Tony in DJ Mag’s top 100 in the 15th position and eventually in May 2002 he mixes one of the first Fabric infamous compilations, Fabric 04.

With today’s mix from Tony Humphries we relieve the passing of the disco era and step right through to the magic of Paradise Garage and other memorable venues, at least with our imagination...

Lucky #7 in my mix series features a Chicago OG who has moved to the year round nice weather in LA, but certainly has not forgotten his roots. J-Dub has been throwing down since the 90s, popping out at all the pioneering House venues (RedNo, Red Dog, & Shelter) as well as held a resident party with DJ Heather at the institutional mainstay, Smartbar. J-Dub's production resume takes no prisoners and showcases a prolific career as a vocalist.  Of late, J-Dub can be seen as a regularly featured guest on DJ Sneak's livestreams, or working the "desk" as Label Manager for Mark Farina's Great Lakes Audio Recordings. NYE 2025 | HOUSE OF YES

This installment of Live & Direct features a portion of a set from Donis (@donis-bk), played at their residency on December 13, 2024, opening the night which also featured special guest Kai Alcé.

Anyone who’s been to one of Donis’s residency nights can tell you that the expressive, energetic style of house dancing emblematic of New York’s house music heyday is not yet a lost art, even if dance battles and baby powder are no longer a common sight on today’s dancefloors. A Dominican DJ and producer born and raised in Brooklyn, Donis equally embraces tradition and innovation in their approach to house, techno, and beyond.

“I think there is a huge lack of actual dance culture specifically within the younger generation of club-goers. A big goal of mine with the residency is to cultivate space for that. I see parties as conversations between DJ and dancer, one-sided conversations are never fun.” – Donis, from an email interview in September 2023

This coming Friday, January 17, Donis returns to the club alongside Baltimore’s Karizma.
