DUTCH THA KID was just another youth from the inner-city struggling to rise above the negativity that surrounded him. Born in Mount Vernon, NY Dutch was exposed to rap music at an early age. He started performing rap songs and doing shows at the age of fi...ve in elementary school. He was amused by the artists at that time and would memorize their songs word for word. "I remember my dad taking me to the Wendy Williams show at Hot 97, Changing Faces had an interview, I met Biggie and Lil Cease at the station. I told Wendy I will be back when I become a Rap Artist". Since that day Dutch moved to Jersey City and continued writing and performing at parties preparing and waiting for his chance to shine. Dutch released several mix-tapes under his own label "United Masterminds Records." He built a solid local buzz through impressive live shows while selling his mix tapes. He knew if he continued writing and recording he would be ready to fulfill his destiny as a recording artist. "Once I felt I had some fire, I gave Samein Johnson my mix tape to review. I knew he would tell me if I was ready to go to the next level or not". After Samein heard the tape, he had a conversation with Super Producer Kenny Smoove Kornegay which led them to rekindle their partnership and launch Sound Vault Music LLC. They decided that DUTCH THA KID would be their first artist released on this new imprint. DUTCH attributes his musical interests to growing up playing instruments with his Dad and listening to Biggie, Jay Z. and Snoop and hanging out at Spoiled Rotten Entertainment . He remembers being in the studio when Changing Faces (Stroke You Up) and Case (Touch me Tease me) was recording their smash hits with Kenny Smoove. DUTCH THA KID's Undeniable presence would be felt at various events, appearances and shows. People began to wonder "who is this kid?" His charismatic swagger display's the aura of a star while he patiently continues his quest to make his mark in the music industry.
