Da Kid Leak was born in the Bronx, NY – not unlike hip-hop itself;  however, he was raised in New Jersey. He started rapping at age 13 when music became his obsession and his escape from reality. As an artist, he is truly unique. As he remarks when asked about sonic comparisons, "I write everything and all ideas are ME. So my sound is ME." He does acknowledge, though, that fans have compared his cadence to platinum-selling artists like Harlem's own Cam’ron and Snoop Doggy Dogg affiliate, Wiz Khalifa. 

When it comes to influences, he's quick to point to the likes of Styles P, Dipset, and Max B – who's currently incarcerated – as well as the wave god's collaborator and Bad Boy Entertainment recording artist French Montana. Battle rap [also] had a big influence on him as far as the culture and participants. That showed him how to break down lyrics and make them hit harder. 

To date, Da Kid Leak has released three projects: his debut mixtape, Don’t Leak My Shit, which reached 10,000 downloads in the first week, Take My Time, an eight-song EP of radio-worthy hits, and his latest release, January 2015's 90’s Baby. Currently, he's hard at working on a new mixtape entitled P.O.O.R, which is an acronym for "Passing On Opportunities Repeatedly." It's slated to hit streets this summer
Leak is brutally true to himself in his music – so what you hear is him, his words, his experiences, and his life. His aspiration is to perform in front of a [large] sold out show and donate all the proceeds towards throwing a party for the people in attendance; real sign of nobility.

After graduating from college, he plans on expanding his brand and building up a strong fan base to help sustain relevancy in the music industry. With a robust catalog under his belt and a unique sound that stands out amongst the masses in today's sea of non-original industry mediocracy, Da Kid Leak is a shining star to keep your eyes on.
