-最近の活動を教えてください。

曲作ってます！　新アシッドレーベルAcid Worxに一曲remixを作ったのと、その他いくつかリリースが年末～年明け頃にある予定です。
Jelomu(Sound Garden)とのユニット、DRONEでのトラック制作も進行中です。
11月には毎年行っているバリ島ウブドで行われるBali Deepというアートイベントに作品を出しています。ウブドの神秘的な雰囲気をディープなアンビエントトラックと映像（by Paradise Jam)で表現し、プロジェクターで映像を森や寺などの建築物に投影します。

ensemble is dedicated to togetherness and deep, timeless house music. It was initiated by Brussels based djs Gratts and Kong. Each time, the pair invite a carefully chosen ensemble of artists over that form a unique musical bond lasting all night long, but one night only. Thus far ensemble has brought the talents of Xosar (L.I.ES.), moomin (Smallville), Gerd (Clone), Fred P (Soul People Music), San Soda (We Play House), Young Marco (ESP Institute) and Oracy (Mojuba) to a selection of venues in the Belgian capital.

The latter, Oracy aka Don Williams, was ensemble's main guest at our intimate boat party this summer. The Berlin-based DJ and producer (real name Thomas Wendel), who runs Mojuba Records as well as its sublabels a.r.t.less and Wandering, knows a thing or two about timeless house music. Since "Family Day" heralded the producer’s debut for Mojuba back in 2006, only a handful of Oracy records have appeared and all have been rapturously received by house connoisseurs worldwide. With only a maximum allowance of 200 people on the ensemble boat, Oracy's Belgian debut  did not go unnoticed. After his exciting but somewhat exclusive performance it felt only right to ask the Panorama Bar regular to kick off our new ensemble podcast series. We are proud to present you this exclusive Oracy mix.

This November, ensemble will also release its very first 12inch record coming out of Xosar's studio. The EP named "Retreat 2 Rapture" will include a Xan Xoda (a certain WPH producer) remix.

It is Monday the 12th of August 2013 and today we have Giorgio Gigli back on the CLR Podcast. Since his first appearance in our podcast series the Italian DJ/producer has not only been busy playing out at numerous renowned international venues, but has also been working hard in the studio. The results can be heard in form of some excellent releases like the “INSIDE EP” which is out on Speedy J´s label Electric Deluxe, his collaboration with George Paar “Life Is Not Dead Yet”, out on Paar Wax or his upcoming joint venture with Obtane entitled “Perception Through Dissonance” (Rrose Remix), which will be released soon on Prosthetic Pressings. His multi-layered, intricate style is the result of an acute exploration of several kinds of electronic music and his personal evolutionary path as an artist has led to the liaison with one of the most respected Techno labels in the scene. Starting from 2011 the collaboration with Electric Deluxe has established an intense relationship ferrying his DJ set in a new dimension where it combines an industrial/dark approach with a solid stream of club-oriented Techno. For this edition of the L.I.E.S. artist podcast series we welcome the one and only Willie Burns. Also known as William Thomas Burnett, bossman of W.T. Records, Burnett is a veteran of the game as he's been deep behind enemy lines for a long long time. If you're looking, you can usually find Burnett deep in the basement of The Thing, the largest used record store in all of NYC or in his studio down the block working late into the night as he sips a bottle of moderately priced red wine. 

Never one to follow the trends, here we have Burnett mixing almost an hours worth of what he describes as "early street techno trance" a genre which undoubtedly has been now brought to the forefront from his days digging in the basement of the Thing. Done in one take, it's wild breakbeat driven, trance-laden trip as the author suggested, so get ready to take a pill and throw your hands in the air.

Rafael Muttke aka Larix began his career in 2000 when as less than of seventeen dj stood resident one of more respected Polish clubs. He quickly found oneself in world strong underground sounds which they inspired his imagination and created more far evolution. Heavy work over progress his talents, large "taste" music and unusually pleasant personality make he become was respected and popular artist. Soon then Larix get proposals bookings from whole Poland. This DJ finds an amazing energy while he is playing. His sounds let people return to the dance floor. After a few years playing as dj, Larix further progress his career and ability he decided to take the production of music. First his tune appear in small netlabels and thanks their inventive building and unschematic sounds Larix music get very good opinion. That was big turn in his career and his work in studio was noticed by larger and more well-known labels such how: Impact Mechanics, Faction Records or managed by A. Paula Naked Lunche Records. He quickly became a highly valued techno artist in world for his unique and exceptional sound. In 2008 year Larix take significant success as producer founds own label Stereophonic. From this moment Larix this is not only dj, live performer, producer with large discography or the owner label but also the person willingly helping the young talented producers giving him the possibility appear in music world. Stereophonic has got huge success in world and tracks created by Larix are played by the best artists as: Richie Havtin, Dave The Drummer, A. Paul, Laurent Garnier, Alex Bau, and many many other. Larix continually with innovatory ideas and fresh looks creates the new quality of music. He was valued by Richie Hawtin in Plastikman 'Ask Yourself' Remix Competition as one of the five runners up. His remix is release on M-nus. Rafael with a head full of ideas and passion create the future of electronic music.

Hello! Friends of the Monument.

Our guest for this episode is Luigi Tozzi(@luigitozzi). An Italian based producer with releases on influential labels like Dynamic Reflection and Hypnus Records (Sweden). We could expect to hear more from Luigi in the future as you could read about in the Q&A. On the note of “future”, this mix showcases a futuristic landscape of techno sounds and grooves. A real treat for the mind.

1. Which DJ would you like to share a beer and a conversation with? Why?

Probably with the guys from Northern Electronics, especially with Acronym.
I am paying a lot of attention to their output and like it very much, it's interesting
to me  how they express all a similar mood in their music, but keeping a very distinctive
and individual touch. They are very careful not to unveil too much about themselves, which is something that I respect, but I'd be very curious to know a bit more about their methods and workflow.

2. How do you make your music? And whats up with the deep and sci-fi sound style? 

I make my music with an hybrid setup, I own some analog machines (Ms20 mini/Microbrute and a couple drum machines) but I tend to work and process a lot in the box with Ableton and some plugin bundles. This is the way I will continue to work in my solo project, but in the future I am planning to make a collaboration with a friend here in 
Rome which will be centered only on machines. I think that jamming and arranging live can be very stimulating for creativity and I'm very looking forward to give it a try.

3. What's happening in the future? (releases, gigs etc)

A lot is happening in the next months, with Hypnus we will release a LP with great artists (such as Cassegrain,Ness, Svreca, Mike Parker, Alan Backdrop, Orphx, Cio d'Or and Edit Select) remixing our works from the past year.This will be released in January and in the following months I already have three solo releases confirmed and some remixes. Also I am very excited about starting to work on a live set, I know this won't be easy and will take some time but it's an objective I have fixed as a goal for 2015.

4. Any words to the people out there mesmerized by your sound? 

No I'll just take the chance to say THANK YOU to everyone who is supporting what I am doing, I would have never expected my first two releases to go out of stock that fast and I am very grateful for this.

Neel [ Prologue ] Italy

Wings of the wave, the mist spreads in the air.
A night owl flew in, staring at the mirror.
Two deep dark pupils. 

Through the windows of a thousand-year wisdom it perceives, its ears follow the heart beat of dark forest, the night owl utters smokey analogue: 

"Listen to the words of a bluish underwater phantom
hear the sudden burst of rising bubbles
Go deep down the ocean, dream way above the sky
all rise, people, let the trip begin."

The latest release of Donato Dozzy and Neel's collaboration project "Voices From The Lake" received excellent reviews, and we were there in 2011 to feel it by ourselves at Labyrinth. It was one of the best live ever.

Voices From The Lake has finished their US tour in July 2012, and Neel is about to start his Asia tour in September. The first gig at Smoke Machine with an exclusive all-night-long set, we are very excited seeing his DJ set in Taipei.

Thanks to Neel for spending much time to create this mix, and it is a pleasure to host it on Smoke Machine. Enjoy!

With fall looming and times of darkness ahead, it is the perfect time to present the next installment of the FIBER Podcast. Berlin based DJ and producer Refracted challenges the listener to experience the various layers of deep techno.
“This mix was recorded in a very special afterhour session with close friends at my home in Berlin. This recording is made with love and dedicated to them.”

For Refracted (Alex) It all started back in 2000 with Birmingham techno: “Thanks to a friend of mine I found out about this Spanish radio program (Zona 3) which played techno mixes on Friday- and Saturday nights. I used to lie down in bed with my headphones and just listen to the mixes. Listening to these new sounds so intensely, I really felt the music. It conveyed feelings and emotions no other music had done before. The presenter of the show Sonia Briz transmitted a huge love and admiration for every artist that it really set you into the mood for the mix. Thanks to her I discovered artists such as Oscar Mulero, Jeff Mills, Richie Hawtin, Surgeon, Regis, Christian Wunsch; dark, raw and industrial techno at its best.”

Before his acquaintance with electronic music, Alex came from quite a varied musical background. His older brother was of great influence and responsible for getting him interested in music. “I used to borrow all his tapes and listen to them non stop. There was so much to choose from; Queen and Bowie, The Velvet Underground, The Doors, and finally Depeche Mode and Joy Division. In hindsight I was already shaping up my path towards electronic sounds without even realising it.”

Finding connections between genres and artists is one of the joys of a music lover. “I am lucky to have met many like minded people in this incredible city (Berlin) and we always enjoy getting together to play records.”

After a while the repetitive mode of techno can become a bit boring. Therefore, an outing to another genre can be quite refreshing.  “I feel very much inspired by ambient and experimental music. There are too many artists and labels to mention but Thomas Köner, Eleh, Kevin Drumm, Pan American, Raime, Ezekiel Honig are the ones who caught my special attention. Labels such as Digitalis, Type, Further or Blackest ever Black can't seem to go wrong.”

These days the artists from the Prologue label constantly manage to amaze and inspire. Artists such as Donato Dozzy, Mike Parker and Dino Sabatini have been creating sounds that never disappoint. “Other artists that inspire me are; Natural/Electronic.System, Alan Backdrop and Air Protection Office. I'm lucky to have become quite good friends with most of them and have to say that, be it either through their mixes or their tracks, I always feel a very deep connection with the sounds and the taste. The same can be said for the Prologue artists.”

The music is dark just like Refracted preferred color black. “There is something very interesting and beautiful in Dark music. It's elegant, meaningful and it can also get very deep. If you understand it you love it. But I can see why it's not for everyone.”
This love for darkness also prolongs in his visual inspiration sources “I'm into abstract photography. A good idea of what inspires me can be seen in my tumblr page (<a href="http://alex-eme.tumblr.com/">http://alex-eme.tumblr.com/</a>). Dark imagery, the universe, space and the female body are all sources of inspiration. These elements also are seen in the artwork. “The image for this podcast perfectly represents what I want my listeners to experience while hearing my music or mixes.”

Shane is Alchemy Records founder and Label Manager. Originally from South Africa, but now based in London, Shane has been an active DJ since 1997. He was signed as a label DJ to Sphere Records in 2000, and went on to start Alchemy Records a year later. Shane has become one of the leading DJ-s in the psy-trance scene. He has earned himself a solid reputation with a loyal following for his unique morning sets and his technical, energetic DJ style. Over the last four years he has played outdoor parties and club events in the UK, Israel, South Africa, Portugal, Austria, Brazil, Mexico, Switzerland, France, Spain, Belgium, Macadonia, Prague, Holland and Japan.

At the end of 2003, Shane was voted by the worldwide trance dancefloors on Isratrance forum as DJ of the year 2003.

DJ and Producer, Shane has collaborated with label friends Dark Soho on the Groundzero project and is also one half of Whiplash with Rinakdink. Under the 2 projects Shane has released 6 tracks under various labels, Alchemy Records, Ambivilant Records & Nano Records.

Experiencing various Festivals and alternative festivals around the country, meeting various artists and producers and with this experience fell in love and faithfully followed the tracks of Progressive Trance, becoming one of the best DJs of the genre in its revelation and State in northeastern Brazil, dividing the stage with Time in Motion, Zen Mechanics, Tristan, Fearsome Engine, Ekanta, Xpiral, Burn in Noise, Mental broadcast, Logica, Yage, Swarup Brain, Shove, 28, Analog drink, MindParadise, Shekinah, Earthspace, among others and Twofaces since then has been playing in the most important events of the state, in Brazil and in international festivals like Hantu Pachamama Festival (Peru).

Here’s an exclusive mix from Berlin-via-London techno producer, DJ and label head John Osborn. Coming up on London’s insular techno scene, he moved to Berlin way back in 1999. Now he’s a core part of the techno landscape here in Berlin, boasting a residency at Berghain’s Sub:stance and curating the successful Tanstaafl Nights (an offshoot of his own Tanstaafl Records, alongside the sub label Tanstaafl Planets). This is a one and a half hour mix of propulsive and muscular machine music. Enjoy.

-このミックスはどこで収録したものですか？

これはストックホルムにある僕のスタジオで6月16日日曜の朝5時に録りました。すでに太陽の光も少し差し込みだした頃にね。録るちょっと前にモヒートを作ってました。


-このミックスで使用した機材を教えて下さい

スタジオにあるSerato Scratch Liveとヴァイナルを使いました。あとメーカーからデモ機で提供してくれたStantonのCDデッキ、ミキサーはDenon X1600。録った音源の編集にはBIASのPEAKを使用しました。


-このミックスのアイデアやコンセプトがあれば教えて下さい。

クラブの中で聴く感じと家や車で聴ける感じをクロスオーバーさせたいと思いました。だから４つウチになる前の最初はソフトな感じにしたかったんです。僕は90年代からずっとストリップダウンさせたミニマルテクノをいつもプレイしています。またよくそれに近いジャンルノオールドハウスのインスト物やスロウダウンさせたテクノに自分の曲や自分のリミックス、友人のプロモをミックスしたりって感じですね。

-最近の活動など教えてください

最近はUKのSect ImprintとフランスのBass Cultureからリリースしたばかりです。今自分のレーベル"Autoreply"の５周年を記念してコラボレーションEPを続々とリリースしているんです。この前はThe Model、そしてDenとDJ PI-GEを前回リリースして、まもなくJay BlissとのEPがリリースされる予定です。あとはPAL SLからのリリース準備と僕のニュープロジェクトも秋にはローンチ出来ると思いますよ。それは10インチヴァイナルで僕のトラックと趣味で撮影した写真が付いてくる。あとはminimood Extraからリリースされるリミックスを終えたところです。それはハイクオリティーのグリーンヴァイナル仕様で間もなくリリースされると思います。
今も毎日スタジオにこもって作業中ですよ。あ、そういや伝えるのを忘れてた。。。OCHのハンドクラフトで作るアルバムも準備中です！
