And so began the history of 9 Lives and Counting…

In the dark ages at the turn of the century, Peter Alexander made a conscious decision that better music was required. This fateful decision led him on a lengthy quest to find the perfect musical compatriots to enhance the songs. Many line-up changes and disappointments later, our steadfast guitarist put together a power house quartet of professional musicians to bring his vision to life.

The first of these to join was vocalist Craig Burnatowski. Craig brings years of experience from musical theatre to captivate audiences. Contributing the lyrics to Peter's songs, the project really started to take shape.

The rhythm section proved harder to fill. His exacting musical standards demanded only the perfect players for the situation. Many tried, but it wasn't  until Jason Hutchings on drums and Scott Everatt on bass stepped up that a full band would see the stage.

Since the 2014 solidification of 9 Lives and Counting's roster, the band has been on a steamroll through the Toronto scene. The band has played consistently in various clubs throughout the GTA expanding to all of Ontario for their Spring Thaw Tour. On August 23 the band unleashed their debut, Beautiful Distraction, for sale on their website and online stores worldwide.
