With a newfound buzz surrounding my beloved genre, I'm hardly keeping up! This was also a year in which I took a break from my show and handed DJing responsibilities over to DJ friends from around the world. Couldn't be happier with how the year turned out for the show. I feel like It was a busy year both production-wise and promotion-wise for @DVSNME and @DarkScienceElectro respectively, however, I found some time to put together a mix of my favorite 22 tracks from 2022. Sync 24 (Phil Bolland) is an electro artist and DJ, label boss of Cultivated Electronics and promoter of London based Electro night Scand. He has also recorded under the name MMT-8 with Ed DMX, Signal Type with Matt Whitehead as well as various other aliases

 Phil’s first exposure onto the electro scene as Sync 24 was in 2003 when he had two releases on Andrea Parker’s label Touchin Bass. In 2007 he started his own label Cultivated Electronics which has gone from strength to strength, releasing his own material along with artists as diverse as ERP, DMX Krew, James T Cottton, Radioactive Man, The Exaltics, Morphology and Silicon Scally. Distributed by Clone, the label is now an established underground purveyor pushing the electro sound for over a decade.

5/18/2018 - Episode 364 - This week's guest on www.soundcloud.com/darkscienceelectro was https://soundcloud.com/alienata - This Spanish-born, Berlin-based Alienata a self-described 'sound obsessive' whose sets span obscure Electro music, Acid, IDM, dark Disco, Industrial atmospheres and more. A former philosophy student with a particular interest in mysticism, Alienata began DJing in 2004. In conjunction with Valencia's Overflow Collective, she not only served as a resident DJ but also participated in theatre and music technology workshops as well as oversaw its label operations. Upon moving to Berlin in 2011, she quickly found an adoptive family in the Killekill label and associated Krake Festival. While primarily focusing on DJing, Alienata has released a few records as the project Kat Channel with Snuffo of the Snuff Crew. Recently she has launched a new record label called Discos Atónicos where she can materialize all its varied influences. Alienata is currrently preparing her solo productions; One spit EP with Beta Evers will be released in the coming months. This mix was an exclusive for Dark Science Electro.

Playing around with the iPolysix app and this was the result. Considering I have an actual Polysix, and even the KMX-8 mixer they sort of model in the app, I'm pretty impressed with this app. There are some differences to be sure, but Korg did their homework. $15 well spent.

2019 has unarguably been a great year for Electro both with overall visibility for the public as well as with the sheer number of quality releases being put out over the course of the year. With a newfound buzz surrounding my beloved genre, I'm hardly keeping up! I feel like It was a busy year both production-wise and promotion-wise for @DVSNME and @DarkScienceElectro respectively, however, I found some time to put together a mix of my favorite 32 tracks from 2019.
