In this week's installment of @DarkScienceElectro we check in with DJ, programmer, keyboarder, and co-host of the radio program 'Intergalactic Rhythms' @DJUnisex 

DJ Unisex is a 24 year-old, living in Leipzig, Germany. He has been DJing for 5 years now though has been involved in music since his teen years, participating in various bands. He eventually landed on Electronic music as his genre of choice and has since been producing music under the alias.  In 2021 he co-formed the new label @Self-Learning-System with his friend called Friedrich Ernst and started a residency on @CallshopRadio

Jasmin Yas is a member of bRAVE collective from Zagreb and is a resident DJ of Ljubljana's Elektroliza events, with a previous residency at Zagreb's Queer Festival. He has played at countless events from Brasil to Japan and Europe and for nearly ten years he has been selecting and playing a wide range of music in his radio show Disco Panonia on Intergalactic FM.

LE CHOCOLAT NOIR owns two different aliases, both unified under the strobe light and hailing from the decaying industrial town of Sisak. Fiume, who focuses on futurism, Haïtian Vodou, and African rituals, and Le Chocolat Noir, an unrepresentative model who aims for his utopian dream(s) since 2000. Today he goes by his second alias, LCN, to share with us a 1h mix influenced by the dreams he pursues.

State Of The Ether | Episode 11 | Hayter

We kick-off the year with mix #101 from one of Tel-Aviv's finest, and HD extended family, Rapha!

The Phi Garden resident and Chateau Royal boss has been killing it in recent years. Rapha boasts releases on some of our favourite labels, such as Dalmata Daniel, EYA Records, Syntetik, Italo Moderni, and on our very own Angel series back in 2020.

His joint project, Pluto Junkies with Ernestas Sadau and PRZ was one of our favorite outputs of recent years, with their first record featuring on Pinkmans MINDRI, with the next record on the label expected in the next few months.

Rapha has also performed at the legendary Intergalactic FM Festival, and DT Camp in 2022.

The perfect mix to kick off the year, showcasing the sound that we love at Hilltown Disco HQ.

Italian born & London based, Isora cut her teeth mixing in Glasgow, Scotland - doing electro, booty, jungle and hardcore between Glasgow, Edinburgh and now, the dance floors of London. 

Resident at the Booty + Hardcore record label and party starters - Hyperdome Records; as well as EPiKA, an all-female DJ collective based in Edinburgh, a set from Isora always promises to be a belter of a sonic journey, using her ultra technical skills in tandem with an impeccable selection, as well as loving to combine genres, keeping listeners on their toes.

All good sets need to have great pacing, when to build tension, when to let it bang and when to let the music just groove along and also when to make it extra vibey - and Isora is a master of this craft.
