This track started from a class I took online through IO Music Academy during the pandemic. Ardalan was the amazing Artist / Producer being showcased in this class and I learned a ton of great techniques during the class. The track is mostly made with samples from Ardalan's IO Music Academy Class and samples that were provided from the track we were making with him during his informative teachings. One of the main focuses for me was on an amazing piece of hardware he has in his studio called Deckard's Dream made by Black Corporation that is the main sample of the track.

Black Corporation's Polyphonic Synthesizer Deckard's Dream brings to life the dreamy affects and bliss of the classic Yamaha CS-80 in a smaller form factor. I hope to one day actually get to use one in person and I am grateful for the samples he provided us to use for the remixes.

I really love these samples from DECKARD’S DREAM! Ardalan created awesome energy with this synth during the class and thats what the main part of the track I chose to focus on and remix in my own way.

The track was originally selected for official release on Ardalan's Bandcamp page back around 08.06.2021 but something with that happened with Bandcamp or the release so now it floats around in the mind of Deckard's Dreams.

Ardalan - The Rolling Wheel (Soul Velocity Remix)

This set was recorded LIVE on August 28th, 2021 during my set for Kaleidisco & Payette Brewingn in Boise, Idaho. I had a great time playing the silent disco & enjoyed all the awesome crowd that made it out that night! It was great watching people switch between vibes with the different channels on the headphones. I can't wait to play again for you. :)

I really got into the groove during my set and had a great time mixing FX in on with the RMX-1000, it was really a blast!

Expedition is the first collaboration between Soul Velocity and Wilson. Expedition is set to be released on April 25th 2022,  preorders start on April 15th 2022. 

Expedition's sound has a Tech House feel with left-field synth derivatives. This mixed with atmospheric synths and a trippy laid-back vocal under the atmosphere further transforms the the track in to an interesting expedition or journey through spacey sounds.

Here is a recent mix I that I did in October, to compliment my mix "Soul Velocity Oct. 2022 Mix 1.wav" I added this as extend complementary to this mix. Both mixes were in the moment and nothing rehearsed. I like to record a genuine mix when I get settled in. My submission for the Holt 88 Remix Contest, I used samples from the Holt 88 Sample Pack along with the stamps from the Last Night track provided. I had a fun time working on this remix. This mix was recorded from the Evolve Audio x HapHap Lounge take over with the Evolve Audio Crew in Boise Idaho on April 26th 2024. 

That night Artist / DJs; Alex Sacknoff, OneBadDude, Soul Velocity and Will Sonn mixed for about an hour each with a 30 minute back to back family style set at the end of the night. This recording was from the digital out of the mixer using the #DJM-REC App and exported so I could put my into / talk over onto it. Thank you everyone who was there that night. I really enjoyed the mix and and felt like everything fell into place as this was a freeform mix. I got into the zone with in minutes on the decks and the rooms energy was on point! It was a awesome time and we have more great times ahead here in Boise, follow as there is more shows to come.

This mix is a live recording that took place somewhere out in the Washington Forest between Mount Rainier & Mount Adams in the Gifford Pinchot National Forest. If you know you know, it was an amazing experience. Thank you to everyone who was there. Special thanks to Kelly for letting us flex his amazing custom speaker system he brought out to woods. This was a very special mix for me as I had a premnition about this experience in years past and had waited a long time for it to build and come to full fruition. We mixed for many hours on end together over this weekend out in the forest and it was magical. This mix is just 1 hour and 20 minutes of the special nights. All unplanned and just feeling the mood of the forest, stars, comet and souls really in the moment solidified this mix as a deeply emotional experience for me. Please let the emotions and or feeling you experience through this musical journey interact with you in a healing fit of gratitude and light.
